6/21/2012 Little Mermaid Piece of movie pin release

Hello all, so yesterday was my first time getting up early in the morning, driving 2 hours to wait in line, to get a pin. So the last time I did this was over 5 years ago, back when you waited in line to get a bracelet before entering the park, to go wait in another line to get a pin. Is it just me who's frustrated with the whole "Magic Morning" thing? everyone who stays at the hotel gets to get in an hour early and gets the pins? by the time I got to the store they were already almost out, or am I doing somthing wrong? I knew the pin releases happen at the store where the Astro Blasters exit is, but as I went to go to the trading tables in frontier land I saw another line at that store. I just am angry because the day before I called Disneyland 5 times to try and find out proper protocall nowdays and no one could help me. I was told go wander around facebook and see if anything is posted there to just being put on hold for up to 20 minutes as they tried to get through to anyone in the pin stores that might know, Finally the last call the woman told me if I had a Premium pass I could get in an hour early with the Magic Morning people to go to the store and get my pin, but at the gate of course no one had any idea what I was talking about. So I got to wait at the gate and then the roped off area just to watch all those who can afford to stay at the hotel run in and out of the pin store as I crossed my fingers that there would be some left, and there was I did get some but basically all the "good Scenes" were gone and I feel I got good scenes but the traders on Pinpics this morning are all turning thier noses up to them. Im so frustrated. I want to call and complain, but is anyone going to care probably not.

If you have a preminum pass you do not get in early. Most cast members have no clue. If you stay at the hotel you have Magic Morning or if you have reservations for the buffet you can get in early. These pins are released at many stores, not just LGM by the Astro Blasters exit. You can buy them at several stores in Disneyland and Disney California Adventure as well as DTD, the hotels and WOD. We got ours at DTD. We were about 40th in line and several awesome scences. Alot with Flounder, King Triton, Ariel and Scuttle.

Thanks much I was not aware you could go to many stores to get pins, I don't know much of anything anymore so I appreciate the help, yesterday was frustrating, and it would have been nice knowing that sooner, but like you said the cast members know little, I called 5 times and the best answer I received was the " you can go in and hour early and get your pin" I learned a lot yesterday, and now.

There were none at all in DCA. They sold them all on Tuesday night.

DCA always has the PODM every month. This month the cast members put the 2 bags Fly n Buy gets out early so they had none for Thursday morning. I know a few people that got them Tuesday night and then they got more Thursday morning at several other stores. Several people go store to store to purchase multiples. It would be nice if DLR got more than 500 to go around. WDW gets 1500 because they have more parks.

I was the second person in at DCA and they had none.

DCA had none because they put them out Tuesday. They only get 2 bags.

They do. Pin traders gets 150-200 or so.

i know WORLD OF DISNEY at Down Town Disney had a whole box, they put out 3 bags and said they were out. I of course asked for a supervisor and demanded a line be made to wait for the other 2 bags. they have 5 bags in a box, i got first pick of the 2 bags =)
