Hello Everyone!! I hope someone might be able to help with a few answers! (Moderators, if this is not permitted, please feel free to delete!) I am an "OLD" (in both senses) pin trader and collector. I'm not so great on the computer so I haven't quite figured out how to trade on DPF or facebook (since I can't figure out how to take or post photos!) but I do use pinpics on a fairly regular basis, and do receive a decent number of trade requests. This past Sunday I went to a great pin barbeque up here in New Jersey and came home with a bunch of great pins - some keepers and some traders. I went on Pinpics and put in well over 100 trade requests. Monday morning I did receive my email indicating that the following requests went through but as of today I have not received one response, either a yes or no! I find this very unusual! Many of the pins I listed were low LE Auction and Disney Shopping pins andsome hard to find older pins that have a great trade to want ratio. I know that a few times that I have put in trade requests it seemed to take several days for a resposne, but this just seems strange to me! Granted, there were no Frozen pins, Wreck it Ralph of and really new hard to get pins, but some really good pins never the less!! Is this common on pinpics now a days? Any information would be most helpful!!! Thanks.

Connie

More people will chime in on this one but I think this is pretty typical for PinPics nowadays since a sizable amount of users have moved away from that site. Between the recent snafu over PinPics sending a cease and desist order to DisneyPinPlace, the subsequent outcropping of different "ground up" pin trading and database sites, and the swell of complaints about scammers, actual trading on PinPics has decreased significantly.

Most people that I've encountered use it mostly as a reference guide for displaying wants/trades, but I do know that many "old school" traders still use it frequently.

That being said, did ya come home with any DA Lion King or Dalmatians pins? I'd love to try to work out a trade if you did

I agree . I received a few trade requests myself and responded to each one but the only reason I noticed was because I was updating my collection . You might be better served opening a Trade thread here . If you know the pin numbers you have and a PinPics ID which people can check to see what you want its not too complicated to get the thread running . If you're unsure how to do this feel free to private message me and I'll help you out as best I can .
Cheers
David
