What do people in the UK use for storing/transporting their pins? Do you buy pin bags from ebay? I don't think they're sold over here in the disney store. Or do you create your own with cork etc? What are pin books? Do we make them ourselves?

Excuse my ignorance - I'm just starting out! :eek2:

I use bsball card holders with keyrings to hold them together that way you pin them in on card and they dont move many sellers on ebay 9 pins to page

Oooh the possibilities are many...
Ok, so I personally use artists canvases to display my pins - arranged by character / theme, cos I want to be able to look at them all the time. The downside is once you've made a hole in canvas, its always there... That's where many people favour cork boards; you can get them in many sizes, mount them on the wall, arrange/rearrange etc as much as you like.

I'm fussy though, I prefer the white of my canvas to the brown of a cork board, but you can paint them if you want.

My mum on the other hand uses a bag to store her pins on the various sheets inside. We got ours at Disneyland Paris, but you could get them off of eBay or maybe someone on here woul buy one for you as many of them visit WDW or DLR often. Upside to that is that your collection is portable but on the down; its not displayed.
Pin books are as they sound: often taking the form of folders with sleeves in them that you can store your pins (on the backs or not) and then flick through them at will. Again they're portable and displayed nicely... but still I prefer having them out where they can be seen.
That's just me though...

Sometimes it may be easier to display your collection and then store your traders in a pin bag?
Just a few ideas there. Please ask any more questions if you'd like!

I have used bags and pin books but find the spines rip on the books because of the weight. Like other members I try not to buy them on the bay because of price. I'm lucky enough to go to Paris once or twice a year and even I can't fill a book a year.

Thanks everyone. Need to start researching what I might prefer then! Some great ideas. Thank you!
