DSF/DSSH Almost Live From Hollywood: Lion King 2019
Next verse, same as the first: 5am cutoff, 1 set per person.
IMPORTANT TO NOTE: There is a 6 am sunrise showing of the movie at El Cap, so the line for the pin release will travel a different path. If you go, pay attention and be sure you're in the correct line! The red arrows are the pin release queue, and the green arrows are the movie queue. For the red/green colorblind readers, the pin release line goes from the alley down Hollywood Boulevard towards Highland Avenue, then doubles back down Hollywood Boulevard at the corner of Hollywood and Highland. The movie line starts at the X in front of the El Capitan and goes the opposite way down Hollywood Boulevard towards Orange Drive.
I'm expecting a light to moderate turnout. Lion King is popular but live action movie release almost never have a high turnout, and reviews for the new movie aren't looking so good. Judging by the Aladdin release a few months ago, I am expecting that the marquee may sell out but the rest will probably stick around for a few days after release. I'm thinking somewhere in the 400-500 range with a fair amount of people bringing a friend or family member to get a good number but only getting the marquee or maybe one set.
The Black Cauldron witches still available as of this post. With a probable low turnout I'm thinking a flip is possible (depending on how few witches are left) but not probable.
The Coffee Bean deal is also announced, and is the same as always - starting at 4am, show your wristband for $1 off a drink or baked good.
Good luck to all who attend!
