Ol, so I have a pin friend who has picked up some pins for me at D-Land.

One of them was the Alladen POMH, as well as a few others.

I asked this friend if I could PayPal them or should I wait to come down? They said not to worry about it and to wait until I came down. (I live about six hours North of D-Land)

Anyway, I have found pins for them in the past too and then traded to them to help them out.

There has been a recent issue with my hubby's work, so our trip planned for July is cancelled. Really sad as we were going to take my other nephew with us.

Anyway, I contact my pin pal and let them know I could not come after all and would really like to pay for the pins now as well as shipping so they would not have to be without payment.

Well they got back to me today and said they had some money problems, and had to sell my pins!

I don't understand this!!!!!

Any advice????

Eek! That is bad news. I am really sorry to hear it. I don't really think there is much you can do since you did not pay them yet. Maybe some of us here can help you get the pins you need. What are you missing? Personally I have an Aladdin POMH and a NEMO POMH I could sell to you at cost. Just want to recoup my money on them. Both are nice scenes.
 
Ugg...wow. They got the pins for you and never contacted you before selling? That makes no sense. Sorry.
 
well, whats done is done, you never paid for the pins, so I guess technically they could do as they pleased.... They should have talked to you first though, even if only to tell you. Maybe they figured they could trade to get the pins back before july, so sold them thinking it would still work?
 
You are sooo sweet. I would love to have an Aladdin POMH and I am not picky about scenes, I just want one because we love the movie.

Please think about it and make sure your really ok with giving it up, before you do.

I just felt it was horrible to sell them to someone else when they bought them specifically for me.

Its not like I did not offer to pay numerous times, yet they kept saying not to worry about it until I come down in July. :-(

When I offer to get pins for someone, and then I do, I make sure they get them. I even did that for someone for the Tangled POMH, knowing it would be a big seller but it was more important that they get their pin.

Just disappointed! Now I don't feel comfortable trading with them any more. :-(

Please let me know after you think about it, if you still want to sell it.

I think they should have at least sent you a message saying what was happening on their end. If they needed the money they could have at least let you pay for the pins they originally picked up for you. (Especially since you'd been offering to do so.)

I'm sorry that you got let down, especially since you were looking forward to them.
 
I am sorry to hear this, Vicki. It's disgusting what they have done. They should have told you that they were planning to sell your pins. What I dont get is that they could have sold them to you as they were your pins. I would definitely not trade with them again and send them a message expressing your disappointment. A promise is a promise, they should never have done that to you.

We did talk and I offered to send the money before and after, but they said to wait until I came down, that it was no problem, they would rather wait until I came down.

Just feel bad about it.

I think your right. They probably thought they could get them back before I came by.

Its not like I want to get back at them, nor are they part of the forum, but it was wrong!

I dont think your wrong to feel disappointed about this as if you were helping each other out on quite a few occassions before this you had no worries for anything like this to happen. Like you say you offered them money and they no it fine, obviously they sold your pins before you told them you couldnt make it in july as that how it looks to me. If they needed money they should have messaged you since they picked them up solely for you in the first place and should have given you first refusal on them just incase you didnt have the money but for them to not even let you then thats quite crap to be honest. Id be quite annoyed as well.
 
I agree it was a promise. A persons word is their bond, and their not worth much if they can't keep their word.

I agree. I had and still have the money so that was never an issue.

I would hate to think they were just trying to get more money out of them. :-(

As others have said, you are NOT wrong to be disappointed! So sorry to hear this happened! I would like to think you will get an even better Aladdin scene--you didn't want that one anyway, right?! Right! But that doesn't take away the shock and disappointment at having your agreement broken like that. Ugh. Hate this story.

Aw Vicki, that is terrible!! You have every right to be upset! If the person was really tight on money, they could have just contacted you and given you the option to pay ahead of time. But to do it without even letting you know... I'd be just as disappointed! All the best in finding the pins you were looking forward to and hope you end up with amazing scenes! You deserve so much better! :hug:

So sorry for this Vicki You are 110% right in being disappointed, but even then who knows why this person acted this way.

I am also sorry to hear that your July trip got cancelled. I will (hopefully) attend the PTN on 29th and then we'll be in the parks 7/8-7/11. If there is anything I can get for you please PM me. I also have plans to go to DSF on 30th.

Aw Vicki, this really is dissapointing honey I don't get this person, you offered the money several times and the pin where bought for you and now he/she is selling them....
If you ever need anything from Disneyland Paris, please let me know I would love to help
