So I'm feeling a little jealous of all the Florida-based posts about their outlet-style stores for pins. Do we have anything similar in the So Cal area? I used to go to the Character Warehouse until they closed down, but that was way before I was into pin trading. Are there any decent discount stores around that people here go to?

There used to be a Character Warehouse in Vegas. But they closed it too. I was really sad when I found out that it was gone. It wasn't the best place for pins (occasionally) but it did have some awesome Disney collectibles and other things. Wish it was still around. :(

We used to have a lot more in Florida, I know. :/ I'm very happy that they haven't closed the one by me. They've only downsized it. I think because WDW is a bit larger than DLR (with the four parks) they have more liquidation to fill the stores.

The only thing that's coming up on google is a "Disney Outlet" in Anaheim, but I think that's closed. Something else is coming up called "Company D", which appears to be a discount store?? I'm not sure if it's owned by Disney though. They certainly sell Disney merch. (Although I'm not sure if it'll be as big of a discount as the Character Warehouse.)

Company D is an employee store, not for the general public.

There used to be a few character warehouse outlets in SoCal but either they closed or the merchandise changed.

The official Disney Store outlets at some of the outlet malls may occasionally get a pin or two as part of their overstock from the parks, but I've not found a huge selection when I've gone.

A "bit" larger? How about a 100 times larger. :) Check this out:

D: Well then. Yup much bigger.

Where are the outlet stores in Florida? Is there an existing thread that talks about them?

I'm not sure if there is a thread on it or not, but I know that there are two in the orlando area and one in South Florida at Sawgrass Mills mall.

There used to be a Character Warehouse type store in Fullerton (the shopping center at Harbor and Orangethorpe), along with the one in Las Vegas. Those were permanent stores, and they would also have temporary stores throughout the West Coast. They were run by an outside company called AMS. This is different from the stores in Florida which are operated by Disney. I assume AMS bought the leftovers from Disney, and then something changed. They started carrying things from other places like Universal, Sea World, etc. and several years ago they announced they were rebranding themselves as Character Depot, and then closed the stores at the end of 2013.
