I have a question that I'm hoping someone has the answer to. I know at the WDW pin event they give 20% discount to those with the Premier Passport (dual park) but do they give the same discount to the DLR Premier (upgraded, DLR only pass)? I'm planning almost enough DLR days this year to get a premier pass, but am on the fence about the expense...it will definitely push me over the edge if I know I can get 20% off my purchases at the September Pin event with it. Just wonder if anyone has tried it.

Disneyland discounts cannot be applied to WDW purchases. So I doubt that you could use Disneyland discount at a WDW event.

I'm not sure what you mean by DLR Premier pass? As far as I know, there is just ONE Premier pass, and that is the one that is accepted at both DLR and WDW. It does not (or should not) matter if you purchase (or upgrade when applicable) your Premier AP at DLR or WDW; both parks can and should apply the discount without any problems.

Are you confusing the dual-park Premier pass with DLR's Premium pass? The former Premier pass is accepted at both parks and will get you a discount at the WDW September pin event (I have a Premier pass and have used it for discounts at pin events without any problems). The latter Premium pass is only accepted at DLR (although, for some reason, *quite* a few years ago, DLRP extended me a passholder discount, but I digress).

IMO, if you are planning on spending enough time to justify getting an AP at WDW, it's worth upgrading to the Premier pass - simply because you're going to have to purchase park admission tickets anyway. The Premier pass will provide park tickets for WDW AND get you the maximum discount - and the cost of upgrading from your current DLR AP to the Premier pass might actually be comparable (or cheaper) to purchasing a multi day park hopper ticket - and it almost certainly will be cheaper than purchasing a regular non-Florida resident WDW AP.

I do mean the DL Premium Pass and my situation is that I don't have enough days planned for WDW this year to justify any type of annual pass. Right now I am only planning two days and actually have a non-expiring ticket for three days on it to cover those. I have seven days planned for DLR, which does not quite justify the premium pass, especially since only one of those days falls during a blackout time (and I could buy the regular pass). The extra discount will make some difference, but it still doesn't quite get me to the $500..much less $750...however if I have the pass, I'm also more likely to add another trip to it. I'm just not sure if this pass gets me a discount at the Event Services events and am hoping that someone on this group might know the answer.
