Are these real?

I was just browsing through ebay, as you do, first thing when waking up lol

I came across this pin:

It's in the auction aswell, and on it's pinpics page, it says "pin never made it to the shelves".
Also, you can't add it to your wants/owns/trades list.

Does anybody know anything of this series?

You can see from the Pinpics listing that they are classified as UNAUTHORIZED, so they are not Disney made or approved pins.

The pins are nice and never released but for some reason there are so many of them, at disneyana a vender was selling the set for $70 they had quite a few

Yes, you are not allowed to add links to ebay auctions etc. It would be better to have just shown the photo, if possible.

I don't get why pinpics won't allow a trade/want on an unauthorized pin? Just make the title have bold caps star off with "UNAUTHORIZED" in the title so everyone knows. These kinds of pins are hard to tell how many are out there. You can trade olympic pins on pinpics, even Looney Tunes pins for Disney pins why not these?

We were told 2 years ago at the trade city pin event at WDW that this 8 pin set was going to be a frame set but the the pins marked to easy, so they were canceled but some got out.
Just what we were told and that some of the cast members were trading them and some were on the boards.
