So I've had this Ariel pin for a long time now. I never really valued it so much, compared to my other pins..

But I've just been on ebay, looking at pins I will never be able to afford and I came across a listing for the same pin

(Picture is from listing, not my actual pin)

It is listed as been 'Super rare' and a 'most wanted' pin.

I laughed because, well obviously it's not that rare, right? So I looked up how many listings there were of the same "super rare" (yeah... right..) pin on ebay... And there were no other listings!

Still convinced it wasn't rare, I went onto DPP to look it up and see how many people were trading it... None... It's not even listed!

Then I tried Pin Pics... It's not listed there either...

HOLY CRAP! Do I REALLY have a super rare pin in my collection??? How did that happen????

Ok... Scratch everything I just said about it not been on DPP. I just found it..

Here is the info if anyone is interested Pin PD62622: Disney Store Europe - Princess Ariel - (The Little Mermaid)

I'm so happy right now...

And, OMG! I have the entire set!! :anxious:

That pin is too cute. I'm glad that you have such a rare pin. Any Ariel with flounder is a cute pin to me Especially a hard to fine one. Lol

It's a nice looking pin.

Rare or not (I don't know anything about the pin but what DPP says), ebay sellers will list pretty much anything as "SUPER RARE!," "HARD TO FIND!," "MOST WANTED!," etc. It's to get the attention of buyers, especially ones who don't know anything about pins.

The pin pops up on ebay ever couple of months. I think it sells usually between $30-45. It's not a super rare pin but its an incredibly cute pin. It's one I've wanted for awhile.

I would be careful with this pin. I have located that very same pin in the scrapper lots from China on tradekey.com about 2 years ago.

Here is the old thread:

http://disneypinforum.com/showthrea...-Steampunk-series-warning&highlight=steampunk

Tradekey pictures are no longer there because the scrapper sellers (from China) got a bit cautious after the LA arrests, but I am pretty sure that there are unathorized copies of this pin.

Are there any pictures of the scrapped pin so I can compare mine too? OR good quality pics front and back of the real pin? I'd greatly appreciate it
