Hello,

Are there any Arizonan pin traders that are going to the Mr. Pincredibles pin trading event at the Glendale Civic Center? If you are, what is the event like?

Thanks!

Hello! I've been to the event several times! Unfortunately I'm now a former Arizonan (moved to California), so I no longer attend, but not because I don't want to! Everyone there is great! Whenever I went, I'd have great talks with people, and made some great trades too! So definitely go if you are able to! If you go to the Mr. Pincredible's page on Facebook, there's usually an event page set up for each month's event. I usually will post my updated traders on each month's page since I know some of the people who attend regularly!

Have fun, and say "hi" to Casey (Mr. Pincredible) for me!

This Saturday will be my first time! I have a few other questions. What do you recommend I bring? A pin trader bag or just a lanyard? What usually goes on during the event? How long does it usually last?

Thanks for the info!

Bring whatever you'd like! I actually always brought a box with my tradeable pins, but some brought their traders bags, some wore lanyards, some even brought cork boards! So do what works best for you! Using a box worked best for me because I had most of my traders on the original cards, and I figured I could display everything a bit more easily than with a book. But that's just me!

As for what usually goes on, everyone will normally set up their stuff, and then you can just go around the area looking at everyone else's traders and start putting together trades. It's a nice calm environment, and like I said, everyone is friendly, so it makes for an enjoyable time! I found everyone to be trustworthy too- I had no issues leaving my traders out and walking around the area looking at everyone else's stuff. Nothing ever got stolen! Don't worry about "sharks" either- Casey is great about making sure the event is about having fun, and not about taking advantage of other people. It normally lasts about 2 hours, but some times it went closer to 3 hours because everyone was having such a great time!

To be honest, I don't do trading events very often. But if I had the chance to, I'd legitimately make a special trip from California to come to this one! I've made quite a few friends just by showing up to the event regularly. Great environment, great people- you'll have a lot of fun!

Hello,
Thanks for all the info. It helped a lot! The event is tomorrow and I am so excited!

Thanks for the help!

You're welcome! Happy to hear that you had a great time! And yes, definitely keep going- I think you'll find that it's one of the highlights of each month (at least it was for me!)! And who knows, maybe I will see you there one day...I'm serious, if I happen to come back to visit Arizona on a weekend when the event is happening, I'll be there!
