The Disney Pin Team and DisneyPins.com says "Aloha" to the newest Disney Resort - Aulani! We can't wait to visit.

The limited edition pin pictured above was released at the Resort in Hawai'i to celebrate the grand opening. It has an edition size of 1,500 and features a hinged element.

I see it says Disney Vacation Club on the pin pin, but on the pinpics listing it says it is available to the public. So, you can buy it without showing your DVC membership card? If that's the case, I foresee this selling out before I get there. Does anyone know what store at the resort this is being sold out? Kalepa's?
 
The pin doesn't say "DVC Member" just "DVC Villas". Since this is a DVC property, I'd imagine its more of a promotion pin.

Yeah, I wasn't sure since the Villas at the Grand Californian Opening Day pin was only available to DVC Members. True, Aulani is a DVC property but it also has a hotel only portion to the resort. It's interesting that the Opening Day Pin specifies the DVC Villas on it instead of just Aulani A Disney Resort & Spa Ko Olina, Hawaii as if they wanted to emphasize the Vacation Club aspect of the resort. I see the promotion aspect you are talking about there.
In any case, it is true that you do not need your DVC membership card to purchase the pin and there were still plenty for sale today. :)
 
I heard that they had to limit logo merchandise purchases of any kind to "2 per person" Apparently the place has been swarmed with guests and day visitors since opening day. I don't think those pins will last long.
 
I saw a limited edition aulani pin not listed on pin pics today it was a couple visiting from Hawaii and they said only workers from the construction/contractors were invited for a special preview and they got the pin it was much better looking than any of the ones currently on pin pics IMO wish I took a picture of it
 
Hi Dana,

I heard that it was sold out too, so the next best thing will be the Stitch with Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy. They all seem so happy in that pin. lol Have you seen it?

Wow! I can't believe this pin sold out so quickly! When my friend went to pick mine up(on the 31st, I think?), she said they still had plenty left. They were being sold behind the counter not on the rack with the other pins.
