Sometimes you'll purchase two or more of the same pin directly from the park or a retail shop (Box Lunch, Shop Disney, Hot Topic) and discovered that some of them look fake or scrapped. This usually happens when a mystery box is opened and there are duplicates that you can compare side by side.

These pins suffer from low Quality Assurance (QA) or low Quantity Control (QC). These pins are real and authentic, but often not desired by collectors.

The front of the Cinderella Bow pins purchased directly from Loungefly look good, but the back is completely different from any of the other pins in the series. The other pins in this mystery box set have much better quality backs. If you were to trade for a Cinderella bow and then compare it to another bow from the set, you might think it was fake, when in fact it is not.
