Since the Disney Store now has a section on the website for the upcoming live action BatB movie, I thought it would be a good idea to start off a thread for it. I'm looking forward to seeing the film collection dolls for this range.

However, according to the post, it was not able to be purchased because it rang up as not being able to sell until February 1st
 
That's a pretty dress but it reminds me a bit too much of the LA Cinderella wedding dress. I wonder if the Disney Store will do a 2-set of the Prince + Belle in this outfit, or in the ballroom outfits.
 
I am just not feeling those faces but I love love LOVE the outfits! I really want to get that "castle friends" set to go with whatever dolls the Disney Store makes. Now that we are starting to see more merchandise for the movie, I am getting really hyped for it again!

Edit: I love how the packaging for the dolls is dome shaped. I hope the Disney Store does similar packaging for their products.

The Hasbro dolls look decent but Im going to wait and see what the Disney Store releases for there film collection line. I have been wanting a LA Belle sine Emma Watson was cast now I just hope that the Disney Store is able to capture her likeness.
 
I'm definitely waiting for the Disney Store versions. I'm really temped to get these versions (very pretty), but I'm hoping the Disney Stores versions are more detailed and higher quality. I liked the Disney Store and Jakks Pacific about equally for Cinderella Live action, but Alice Through the Looking Glass dolls, Disney Store were far superior. I'll see later if I need both. XD

Yeah same here. Dolls for previous live action films like Cinderella and Maleficent didn't have perfect likenesses either, but they at least had some resemblance to the actors they were trying to portray. Unless you squint your eyes really hard, these sculpts look nothing like her. I am hoping the Disney Store does a better job, which they usually do (at least now adays).

On a slightly different topic, I'm thinking the 17" platinum set will be of the Prince and Belle in those wedding/celebration outfits, to make up for the lack of a Prince doll from the last wave of BatB dolls.
 
I think the TRU Belle is meant to be some kind of blend between Emma and animated Belle, and because they're so different, she doesn't look like either one (IMO) so she just has this unfamiliar face.

I am hoping the Disney dolls look more like animated Belle rather than Emma, but at least one way or the other is probably better than an unfamliar middle ground. I don't prefer the white dress's tattoo-arm in the real costume, but it's better on the doll. The prince's outfit looks really nice though, I am already salivating over it imagining it in Disney Film Collection quality (like Cinderella's prince's outfit, which is fantastic).

Toys R Us does have a few new movie items. Very nice, and detailed sets, but still have to compare them to the Disney Store. There is going to be a lot of really great merchandise, really going to be picky to not be too overwhelmed.

I'm really tempted to buy the platinum set, I don't have any Limited Edition 17" Beauty and the Beast dolls, and with how beautiful the movie looks, I think the set will be great to have. All $750 sets are hard to buy, it is a lot of money for dolls priced so high mostly due to exclusivity. It was worse for me when I bought the Alice Platinum set, to see it go on sale on the UK disney store site. But the quality and beauty of the dolls help one to remember why I collect, and I'm really happy to have them in my collection.
 
Hmm... Too bad Belle's horrible dress pretty much devalues every thing they release with it on her... I just don't know what Disney was thinking.

I think that the Hasbro Dolls look fine, I can actually see Emma Watson in the doll, but what's what we expected from non-DisneyStore dolls.

The Luke Evans doll looks phenomenal. But his face seems so detailed to the point where I don't think that it's a DisneyStore doll.... It sounds too good to be true. Maybe a Hot Toys?

I doubt Hot Toys would send Luke Evans a prototype of their own figure before its even announced. They usually announce the license before the actual figures are revealed. Plus, the proportions and design are too off for a Hot Toys figure. His head looks slightly larger than it should be, and he is looking off to the side. Both of those are signatures of Disney Store dolls, not Hot Toys. You also have to consider that Disney giving actors/voice actors props and items before they are revealed is nothing new, as its easy promotion. They did the same thing with the Moana toys. Not to mention that Disney Store head sculpts are getting a LOT better.
 
Are we only getting Belle and Bell/Beast platinum set for LEs? Could that be a LE Gaston? I know nothing. Just speculating given what LEs were released for the 25th anniv of the animated BATB. That aside, I am wanting all those Pops and that tin purse. Better start saving money or my wallet will die. Will the LEs minus the platinum set have pre orders? Or will they be released no pre order close to the films debut? I wasn't around for LA Cinderella.

I seems unlikely that we will be getting a 17 Gaston Live Action Le Doll. If Disney didn't make one for Maleficent, Aurora, or Lady Tremaine. It seems unlikely we would get one for Luke Evans over Angelina Jolie, Elle Fanning, and Cate Blanchett.
