Best park to visit during Sept/Oct

I'm planning my 2 week vacation and would like to know which Disney park is the best to visit around Halloween? I'd like to know about decor, food, and of course Pins! Which park is most photo worthy during Halloween?

Don't know if you mean WDW in FL or DLR in CA but, either coast, Magic Kingdom is the only Park decorated for Halloween. Great pins are available on both coasts.

My preference is going to DLR for Halloween. There are Halloween Time overlays for the Haunted Mansion and Space Mountain attractions as well as Day of the Dead decorations for DL and DCA. The weather is better - warm days, cool nights, low humidity, no hurricane/thunderstorm worries. There will also be the new Frozen musical and Luigi truck attraction in DCA.

Tokyo DisneySEA. But that's my default answer anytime I see "What's the best park..."

But if you mean in the States, then I would say WDW, but only if you go to Not-So-Scary. Awesome parade and fireworks (which I don't usually do, but I do for the parties).

Sept/Oct is the Food and Wine Festival in Epcot, so you know where I'd be going. :rofl:

I wondered about the cruises but don't know if I can handle being on a ship for 5 days! Anyone been to Disneyland Paris for Halloween? I have been once during Halloween to WDW but that was a year or three ago. I have a coworker who goes to the food and wine festival almost every year, she loves it! Whats Tokyo DisneySea like?

I went to DLP for Halloween in 2014 . Much like the US parks they only really decorate MK , but there are added touches elsewhere like pumpkins and ghost effects . You get a few more Villains meet & greets and a slightly altered parade but nothing major . I did think the vine effects around the castle were pretty cool .
We don't celebrate Halloween as much in Europe as you do in the states though , assuming I had unlimited funds I'd probably go for WDW as it seems to be massive there . Plus the F&W Festival and possibly a pin event make it an easy choice for me

Whats Tokyo DisneySea like?

In general, or for Halloween?

We actually haven't been for Halloween yet (we tend towards Valentine's Day or Spring), but if we were going to pick another time of year to go, it would be Halloween. They allow costumes (under certain limitations) into Land. The best thing about Halloween at TDL/TDS is that they always do a different theme. This last year was villain heavy, year before that was sort of a gangster theme.

The best thing about TDS (in general, not for Halloween specifically) is how different and *meticulous* it is. Some quick things that are awesome about it (in bullet form, so you're not reading a brick of text:

-INCREDIBLE looking...the volcano, the harbor, the whole thing...visually gorgeous

-Neat attractions- Ariel's grotto, a great Tower of Terror, Jules Verne area with an awesome Journey to the Center of the Earth ride. Great classics, too, like Midway Mania, Indiana Jones, etc.

-The Fort. Seriously. Just...so much to see and explore. So beautiful.

-Home of Duffy et al, and it's so cute to see everyone walking around with them

-LOTS of characters, and they all interact with people casually. Lot less line-up, lot more walking around. Heck, Captain Jack spoke to ME while I was walking by...

-Super polite and nice cast members, and the custodians do things like dance and sing, and leave hidden mickeys made of leaves.

-More adult feeling park. Not that there's not a sense of wonder...there is. But it's less...frantic, maybe? Calmer.

-Great themed events (Halloween, Christmas, Tanabata, etc)

-Awesome merchandise and food products.

Just...too much to express. Going through TDR Explorer's photos might give you a good idea, but you have to see it to believe it. If you like traveling and LOVE Disney, it's a park you can't miss out on. Tokyo Disneyland is fine- clean and pretty. But it's not so different from the other Magic Kingdoms. But TDS is a completely different story. Best park...I will fight anyone. LOL.

Thank you, for the links! It looks amazing and fun! I'm 90% certain to Japan I go for Halloween! It looks polished and certainly well organized! Plus the food looks fabulous! Hidden mickey's made of leaves? Sounds neat. Now if only Oct would hurry up and get here.

I'm actually leaving for it in 2 hours...LOL! So I'll post some trip reports when I get back.

If you've never been to Japan, and want some tips or have questions, just ask. There are a few other members here who live in Japan, as well! We usually spend a most of our time outside of the parks while there (our park stay is usually 4 days or so), but I know of people who have gone pretty much only for the parks and stayed there.

DLR. There's something about being able to walk between parks freely in a single day that WDW just can't match. DLR does have decorations galore for Halloween and many characters in special purple & orange costumes. Besides Epcot, I think DLR blows WDW away with the in-park food selection and quality. MNSSHP is more condensed at Disneyland which is a smaller park and much easier to run around and see everything. And as noted above, weather here is far better.
