I have about 50 pins in my collection and I use a pin binder purchased from Elias and Co. in California Adventure. There are several stores around both Disneyland and California Adventure where you can buy pins and pin accessories such as pin satchels, lanyards, backs, and binders. Below are the best places in Disneyland to purchase and trade your pins.

Good for buying- a nice variety of pins to purchase
Good for trading- a nice variety of pins to trade for
Pin book- holds pins that you can look through to trade for
Pin board- A black Mickey head shaped board that hold pins available for trade
Lanyard- A strip of fabric worn around the neck that holds pins
Cast Member Board- A little board worn on a cast members waist (green ones are for little kids to trade on only)

WORST LAND TO BUY AND TRADE WITH CAST MEMBERS: BUG’S LAND

You can also buy and trade at all Disney resort hotel gift shops. In Downtown Disney you can buy and trade at the World of Disney Store and at the Disney’s Pin Traders store.

Thanks for the helpful info!
When you say that the stores have pin boards, do they have specific times that they come out or do you ask a cast member to bring them out? Or both?

I'll add that Fly n Buy and Embarcadero Gifts also have a good selection of pins for purchase (2nd and 3rd most behind Julius Katz) and several trader lanyards. Curios also has some pin trading books.

If I told you then they wouldn't be good places anymore. jk lol My favorite places that I also score at are the hotels and Masquerade. Great post by the way it might get stickier!
