Ok, other than trading at the resorts or at some PTN, what is the best way to trade? Make a thread here and keep bumping? Try to do something over at pinpics? How do you guys trade with others, because I'd like to do some very small trading.

All of those options you just stated are great. If you have a decent list of pins you'd like to trade and can trade, a thread here is by no means bad at all. First, you should make a Pinpics account if you don't already have one and add all the pins you want and have. That way, the more you post, the more people can see and peruse through your pins. For all you know, you might one day get an unexpected PM to trade for a pin that you wanted. It also helps to have the account for the same reason on Pinpics. You don't need to make a thread and keep bumping, I've been here a month and I haven't made a thread yet, whenever I see someone I don't recognize, I just make 2 quick clicks to see what we match and then if anything lines up, I can always send them a PM.

I have no luck with pinpics now. No one responds it seems unless you are severely lop-siding the trade in their favor. I can't even get a no thank you for evenly matched trades. Most of the trade offers I receive are hidden mickey pins for my LE's, and I have completely stopped trading for HM's on pinpics due to the amount of scrappers I receive. I finally received two requests that were reasonable enough to accept and I have yet to receive a response to my acceptance.

The only decent trading I have done lately is off these boards. I did a lot of trading using pinpics at the start of collecting, but it seems now it is just a tool as a collection database than a stand-alone trading tool.

as to pinpics trade assistant successs.. try out the method I use::

Even if you have little to no success trading via pinpics. it is a great database, definatly want to get your pinpics account current and linked to dpf so you get some trade offers started.

I trade in the park, at PTN's, via pinpics, here on dpf trade forum and via the dpf auction house. Apparently there are other disney pin forums out there too... DQtalk, pintalk....

I do have a pinpics account and I'm just now entering the pins I have/want/and are willing to trade. So I need to work on that. One of the things that is taking me so long is going through the pins and determining their status (i.e., legitimate, scrapper, or counterfeit).

The whole thing is on my to do list!

I am concerned about scrappers and counterfeit. I'm going through a lot of trouble to look at the pins, I'd be pretty upset if I got some in return.
