Buyer says I sold them Scraper pin on EBay but it was purchased directly from DS! Hmm
Yes, I may do that, great idea... She pretty much did say she will not give me negative feedback if it is a smooth return transaction (Well, sounds as if it may not be) ha ha!You have a picture of yours in the original packaging with a watermark on it. I would send eBay a picture of your packaging with a reciept or proof of purchase when they open a case. I have not heard of this pin being scrapped, just a lot of cases of bad pins out there sold by the DS (me included). They may have bought a bad pin and are trying to pawn it off on you, knowing they wouldn't be able to sell it. If you send the buyer the picture of the packaging as well, and they threaten to give you negative feedback, that's an automatic win on your part in ebay'so eyes. Push forward, I'm sure you'll win this.
I just now looked and all of their 19 feedback says "within last month" or within last 6 months. No link to items purchased. I do notice that many of the User ID's of sellers have the word Disney in them though. so it's very possible!Have you looked at the buyer's feedback to see if they bought another rapunzel pin earlier? The same exact pin?
I am sorry to hear this ... it sounds the exact reverse of the situation I have just been in. I purchased a pin from an Ebay seller in the USA, it was a high end pin costing me $50, I confirmed I would get the pin in the auction picture, but on arrival the pin had missing enamel in two places, and was clearing not the pin listed for sale. I requested a return, the seller was not happy, but eventually agreed to accept the pin back. Ebay now states that sellers have to pay the return postage if an item is not as stated, however she did not want to pay for a signed service and only agreed to pay for standard air mail. In good faith, I mailed the pin back to her and got proof of postage, however 27 days on, she says she hasnt got the pin back. She got Ebay involved and they say she doesnt have to refund me. So now I'm out of pocket by a lot of money, and just feel that the seller knew what she was doing all along. This seller is a Pinpics member too, and I feel very sad that people in the hobby can use the system like this.
So the moral is that you cant trust Ebay, or its sellers, or in your case, you will say its buyers!
Really strange how such expensive pins could be made with little care by the Disney Store! People work hard for their $ and that would be so disappointing to receive a bad quality LE pin.
You must have missed my post above where I explain the black spots. The pin has rusted; that's what the black spots are. It was stored in a moist environment. You can also see the corrosion on the edge of the pin. It's not an example of bad manufacturing; it's a matter of poor storage!
I certainly will need to look for these signs when purchasing pins myself.
