Hello! Does anybody have experience purchasing pins through Amazon? I have an Amazon gift card burning a hole in my pocket, and as I was tooling around the website, I found out that they sell pins. What a great thing to spend the gift card on, right? I'm hoping there are people with good experiences out there, and Amazon isn't the scrapper-infested site that eBay is.

Thanks!

you have to be just as careful on Amazon, lots of scrapper bulk pins for sale, Amazon does not tolerate merchants who sell fake goods, so if you do get scrappers you may have a better chance with Amazon about the sellers getting in trouble about it. I have thought about purchasing on there just to see what I would get, also be sure to ask a the sellers questions about the pins before purchasing them, they are required by amazon to respond within a short period of time, Amazon will actually keep a metrics on the sellers for how fast they respond to questions.

I know one scrapper seller from Ebay, she also sells on Amazon. I made a mistake of purchasing from her once and she sent me many many e-mals linking her amazon sales for a while. She stopped 2 months ago.

I doubt that the bulk lots and/or HM pns on Amazon can be genuine.

ask them where they obtained the pins that they care selling so cheaply? ask them if they come on their original backer cards, ask them if they directly purchased them from china, make them authenticate the pins they are selling, tell them that you know that just because the back of the pin may say disney and that they come with a rubber mickey pin back doesn't make them scrappers, tell them you are not looking for scrappers, have them send you a picture of the pins that have for sale so you can look at them.

Yikes, it sounds like the scrapper problem is just as bad on Amazon as it is on eBay. :-( Looks like I'll have to find something else to spend my gift card on!
