Okay, so I just bought my first small pin bag (thank you 5titch!) and the way the pin bag is set up is that there are 3 pages with felt on both sides. It is set up like this:

That isn't the pin bag, the one I have is different but it is set up like that where you have a page that folds outwards where you store the pins. HOWEVER, hen you put the pins in like that, and fold it back in to walk around, the pins rub against each other and obviously scratch one another (unless you don't use half of the page, and with a small pin bag as it is, I can't afford to not use a half a page) or unless I put in my own inserts between pins which can get difficult to constantly put in a replace the insert every time I open the bag. So what I was thinking was what if I put half the pins on the visible side and the other set of pins on the other side, but then the pin backings would rub against the actual metal of the pins. So my question is, if I did that, would the pin backings scratch the pins?

Any input on this would be a lot of help and thanks again!!!!

I recommend putting plastic covers, like the ones you put in binders, between the pins. That way they wont scratch and you can use all the pages. Or you could use tissue paper to do the same thing. Some people also use felt/fabric in between the pages.

Try folding the flip out page UNDER instead of over so that the backings are facing eachother. Or by some remant squares of cloth from Jonannes fabrics to put between the pages?

I was thinking of that but if I make the backings face each other, then that means the pins on each page will scratch against the page right next to it :( I think I'm going to have to put pieces of fabric between the pages so each time I open it up, I'll have to constantly make sure they are in the proper spots and such -__- Oh well ^_^ at least I have a pin bag finally, and a nice one too boot!
