So I braved ebay to update some of my collection with pins that I had missed out on during my break from trading, whilst purchasing pins for my collection from one member they were selling this PTN for a very good price so thought might as well purchase myself a fairly ok trader to kick start into trading again, however since I have got it and tried to add it to my traders list I can't find it anywhere. Am I just being blind? I am 99% sure it is genuine as I haven't heard of PTN's being counterfitted and the rest of my purchases were fine, all sealed in the right packaging hence why I haven't posted in the pin comparison section.

There aren't technically "counterfeited" ones. Just scrappers - ones that didn't pass quality control and were supposed to be thrown away. Think of it as extras on the manufacturing floor that were "thrown away" into the garbage to be destroyed, but people went through the garbage to find things to sell. Those PTNs should be stamped with a number on the back (i.e. xxx out of 400). If the xxx is blank, or has a box where the number should be, that is generally the "sign" of a scrapper. The ones that were released through Disneyland Paris are stamped #1 through #400.

If it's for your collection, and you don't care about the stamp, then it's fine. But if you want to trade it with another person, they might care that it has no stamp / wasn't bought at the Parks.

It has a number 394 of 400 it just hasn't been put on DPP it seems
