Woops! Well, I'm glad they decided to cancel that one pin instead of releasing crappy versions! At least they will be releasing it again later, and the rest of the pins aren't being held back! Still sucky for people who were counting on buying a full set this weekend though!

EDIT: I also wonder if this means there will be a surprise release this weekend!

I must say, of the multiple production companies DSF uses for their pins (I think 3?) at least 1 I find always does a crap job. Their pins have the worst back stamps and much more importantly, I feel like the metal lines are super thin so the color/fill always looks like it's overflowing. Like the Percy PTD and Prince Henry PTD, Mother Gothel's face in these new ones. The colors also somehow look less opaque in these pins to me. If I compare my Prince Henry PTD to, say Prince Eric, it's a WORLD of difference. Eric is slightly heavier, better color, better lines just plain better. Not a high deal, but just an observation by a picky artist

I've noticed the mixed quality in general when it comes to pins. Some I've gotten straight from the parks (shops) have damaged edges that look like factory problems and not from shelf ware, some of the enamel has spillover sometimes, and on some pins that are legit I've found what I can only describe as "bubbles" along the sides. I've gotten two pins on the same day from the same place and they have differences in them that I feel should have been QC'd.

But yeah, as far as the art goes, a lot of the final face designs boggle my mind. Most of what I like is very limited though, so I'll take what I can get, haha!

I ordered a Best Friends Mystery pack from the Disney Store hoping to get the Mike & Sulley pin, and all the other pins were fine, but on the Mike & Sulley pin, some flashing on the right hand side wasn't trimmed properly. It's smoothed down, but has almost a wrinkle effect on the edge that's quite visible. Fortunately I don't intend to trade it, because I'd be concerned someone would think it's a fake. :/

That is exactly my concern when I receive pins that are "less than perfect" from stores. If I wanted to use them as traders, I would be really nervous of any backlash from the other party.
