QUESTION Color variant?

I went to Disney World in 2015 and had fun trading pins. I haven't really looked at them much since, and recently rediscovered them. I'm trying to id them, and I think I have a color variant. It's a Friendship Boat Hidden Mickey from 2013, and the back says it's 8 of 8, but from what I've looked it, that pin was yellow and blue. Mine is pink and blue. Is this a known variant? How often do color variants happen? Now I'm curious. Thanks!

Sorry to say, I don’t think that’s so much a variant as a fake/scrapper. As you mentioned, #8 was very different colors. The one yours looks closest to is #2 but not quite. It was a pretty heavily faked series unfortunately.

But please don’t let that deter from your fond memories of getting it. You still had that fun and it’s still a nice pin!
