2. In the Days before comic books, children exchanged Better Little Books—which were a few inches tall, sold for 10 cents each, and included hundreds of pages text and black-and-white illustrations—with their friends. This recreated Better Little Book of
Dumbo from the Walt Disney Archives Collection includes a stylized cloisonné pin of the title character.
3. While most of the Disney-themed subjects were original stories featuring Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Pluto, several of the Better Little Books told the stories of classic Disney animated features, including this recreated Better Little Book of
Bambi from the Walt Disney Archives Collection, which includes a stylized cloisonné pin of the characters Bambi, Flower, and Thumper.
4. This recreated Better Little Book of
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs from the Walt Disney Archives Collection includes a stylized cloisonné pin of the Evil Queen.
