i bought my 3rd vinylmation a few days ago and i got the urban 5 chaser the 3D one . when i opened it i put under the stroller and it fell out i either stepped on it or kicked it and the back of his head got scraped up . is it still worth anything?

i'm sure it's still worth something but not as much. vinyls have been having slight manufacturing quality control issues pre-box anywayss... but if youre going to sell/trade just be sure to inform the buyer/trader the damage. if its just the back i'm pretty sure someone won't mind. i mean.. unless they display their vinyls backwards...

I agree with dearpatty- someone might not mind the damage depending on the extent. My suggestion would be to include clear pics of the damage when/if you decide to sell and trade so that the buyer will be fully aware of the condition.

It's still worth something, being that it's a chaser, but the value unquestionably took a hit. The question is ... how much? That will depend upon how badly scratched it is. If you are planning to trade it through the mail, you need to disclose that this vinyl is damaged and be prepared to provide pictures in case people ask to see the extent of the damage before agreeing to a trade. I'd think you would want them to see how damaged it is *before* the trade so nobody can claim to have been mislead and ask for a trade-back if he/she is unhappy with the quality of it upon receipt.

Seeing as the Urban 5 series still is currently in production, I think the damage will hurt the value quite a bit. Even though the chaser is the hardest to find, it still is in production, so people still can buy it - even if there only is a 1 in 24 chance of picking getting it without buying the whole box - and some people may opt to try to buy it or trade elsewhere instead of trading for a known damaged specimen. However, once this series retires and this chaser becomes more scarce than it already is, it's possible that the value on your damaged one might increase (not to that of a mint one) simply because of the diminished supply that can't meet the demand for it.

That being said, at the end of the day, a vinyl only is worth what someone is willing to give up, be it in $$$ or other vinyls, to acquire it.
