I told my friend that I could: "either afford to go to the event, or afford the pins that would be sold at the event." Looks like I was right. I collect 4 movies, and 3 of them have major anniversaries this year (Dumbo, Alice, BatB). It's been expensive.
 
There were no new villains released on Friday. There might be new WDI pin releases on Saturday and Sunday as well as on Monday.
Older villain pins were in the mystery bags, featured at the checkout counters.
 
FYI - For the gingerbread house pin collectors, The Grand Floridian Resort is now selling their pin (Mickey & Minnie kissing in front of the GF gingerbread house) and the Contemporary Resort is also selling their pin (Baby Olaf, Kristoff and Sven in front of IASW gingerbread house). limit of two.

UPDATE: The Boardwalk and Beach Club Resorts are now selling their gingerbread house pins.

Mystery bags? That's the only way to get them?
 
Thanks for posting this. The Disney Parks Blog posted that the Grand Floridian gingerbread pin was an Alice pin again this year and when someone went to check all they saw was the Mickey/Minnie one! Guessing the parks blog got it wrong about there being an Alice pin there.
 

Maybe they got confused with the resort holiday wreath which was Alice.

My friend says tonight event attendees are getting a special screening of Moana at the Polynesian beach. She's excited for it.

Or maybe they cut and paste the blog from a few years back when it was an Alice gingerbread pin. But I'm just glad it's one less pin I have to worry about! I think I'm covered on the wreath pin, thankfully!
