:wavey: Were you in Disneyland on Sunday June 10th? Did you come by the trading area in Frontierland? Maybe we traded?? If so, thank you!

I had a blast trading with lots and lots of folks!!! It had been quite awhile since my last big trading adventure and this one will remain most memorable! Big shout outs to Justin, Sebastian, Daniel, Russell, Tyler, Eric, Angel, Amy, Adrian, Ulysses, and soooo many more ... y'all made my day!!! It was really super trading with everyone and spending time chatting with old and new pin buddies! I have some very special pins now added to my collection thanks to y'all! A some of them mean even more to me than just a Disney pin! They are a memory captured in shinny pieces of metal!

And thank you to all the "kids" that came by and "traded" with me ... or should I say allowed the Pin Fairy Godmother to keep her Wings shinny, lol! I loved all of our encounters and wish you all the very best and hope that all your pin dreams come true!

Hope to see you all and "do it again" in the Fall ... maybe October??

Yeah Justin!!!!

Im not sure if I know the others, as I remember faces mostly. :-(

Justin is a doll and a delight to trade with!!!!!

Vicki

Markheardjr - yep Justin is a big tall guy, very nice and buddies with Sebastian. Both were lots and lots of fun to trade with and chat with!!

Psycho Pixie - I was there until late, probably around 9 pm ish ... shortly after I left Fantasmic started (while I was getting a bite to eat, lol!) At first I didn't have a table so I traded on the bench at the end of the tables; later I was able to get a table and had lots and lots of older park pins all in plastic sleeves (as well as Disney Auction, DSF, DS and DLRP and pins from Japan) ... as I said earlier, it's been a LONG time since I've been able have such a great pin adventure!

Thank you again to EVERYONE I traded with and talked with!! You are the reason I love this hobby sooooo much!

Interesting. Justin is a slime ball. He always cuts in line at DSF, pays strangers to buy him extra pins, pays CM's for bags of new hidden mickey's and was asked to not trade at the park for a while. Hopefully he's on the up and up but as recently as the Hinged books release he (and his friends) were at their old ways. From what I understand he is a 2-striker at DLR, and yes, they give people strikes! When I think of sharks I see his face.

Well Bjean glad you had a blast trading. Mark.. I dont want to sound like the "Gaurd dog" as i was called in a recent PM from another member but you have your facts pretty screwed up. I dont know where you are hearing this from but everything you said is wrong. Who has even heard of a "strike" by Disney.. He shows up to events the day before and i know this cause I ALSO show up around the time he does. At the hinged book events we got there around 7pm. we were 80th in line.. Dont know how him and his friends (your talking about me now since I was there and am his friend) were up to their old tricks... Also, I thought you could not flame another member on the boards. Ill take this from another post.

Is he a member here? If he's not, then I am not flaming another member. I have witnessed first hand his antics, this is not hearsay. At the DSF Up event I was 154 in line. 2 people left at 11pm and did not give up their tickets to the security guard after they admitted they were going home. The guard tried to get them from the people still in line but they were "lost." Then rolls in Justin and his buddy at like 12 midnight and miraculously they have 2 tickets!? Oh my gosh, a DSF miracle. I was surprised Josh from My-D pins didn't say something, he was # 151 in line and if not for Justin would have moved up in line and got a set. He saw the whole thing, probably 8 or 9 DPF members saw it happen and knew it happened.

At the stained glass easter egg release we watched Justin pay strangers on the side walk $20 to go buy him more Jessica's. Told them to keep the change. Witnessed by myself and 4 others on here.

At the Hinged Books release his friends from Vegas tried to let a big group of their friends cut in line. One of them blabbing about being a cop or homeland security or something random like that. They are shady characters too. A friend of mine confronted them and they told her to mind her own business. WTF? Also, I'll add I witnessed them swarm a CM at Westward Ho that brought out a board with 4 or 5 new hidden mickey's and these people jumped in front of everyone, took all the 2012 HM's and gave them scrappers in return. They are part of the reason they stopped "come out and trade." Now they moved it back to the Big Thunder Jamboree thing to get it away from the traders like them.

I'm not sure if you know who you are trying to defend. These people take advantage of every thing they can. They cheat the system and disregard Disney staff if there's a buck to be made.

I think you are thinking of the wrong person. At the UP release we showed up around 4 pm to see what was going on in line. The people from vegas, I dont want to get into their business but they ended up behind us at the Hinged book release that we showed up at 7pm. We didnt even know them till that night we spend in Hollywood. The easter egg event, Justin was NOT buying his ONE set and a friend asked HIM to get a second set for his GF who was working. Justin only showed up to chill with another friend all night from Arizona who does not visit very much. Yeah, you must either have Justin confused with another member (yes he is a member on this board). Again, im not the "gaurd dog" just sticking up for a friend. I sent you a PM and I hope to resolve this issue further in private.

Must be different then. The guy I am talking about is probably 6'4", 270 pounds, hispanic, and has a goatee, no moustache. I think he wears sunglasses on his forehead a lot too.

I was there on the 10th and seem to remember some big guy and a little big guy trading, not sure who they were but they sharks as can be
i liked a stitch LE 1000 sorcerer pin and they said that "i dont know man it's rare, all I'd take from you would be the avengers set for it" which is a f****n shark move if id ever seen oone, he liked some other stuff but was only wiling to trade rack pins for my LEs I guess he thought I was a noob or something but that really did annoy the heck out of me

They tried ripping off my gf for some of her Ariel pins as well, I met a lady that told me that he and his friends cut at events and such and they're pretty rude, heard the same thing from another guy that I traded with
My first time going on a Sunday and it was a little tainted because of that but all in all it was pretty cool
cant wait until Thursday to trade again

Wow.. Just cant believe how much this. So you Krystal are also taking to hearsay? I remember your BF valuing the avengers set at some crazy insane price. I also remember that Justin and I offered you a pretty fair trade for the set as well. We dont need to cut in line when we show to DSF events the day before and have our spots.. I dont understand where you are all getting this Misinformation from. I remember you or you BF telling me my pins are not worth that much and trying to value them at the LE size (There are open editions pins for more than Most le pins, even le 100s). This is the reason I dont like trading at the parks. I guess you get called sharks cause I didnt pull out my HM and rack bag and offered you to trade 1 for 1. Im sure I pulled out my bag with the better pins after looking at your bag and wanted to make a fair offer but your value was just to high. And the only thing you had in your bag WAS the avenger set. Sorry if thats the only thing that him or I seen that we were trying to trade for. When you say friends you put a lot of people in that group. You also put my GF in that group as well. Thanks for taking all the hear say and flaming people more. I guess the sharks are the one valuing their pins so high we can even offer a fair trade and get upset cause I make an offer that is fair. And didnt I PM you after the park and mentioned how I met you and your BF at the park and just wanted to say hello on DPF? I believe I did.. but i guess sharks just like to be friendly like that and make new friends to lower their guard and rip off other pin traders. Im not in this hobby to make a fast buck and get great pins. Iv givin more pins away than some people OWN. Iv been doing this for close to 9 years and invested more money than id like to admit. Shame on me for not taking a bag of HMs and racks to trade 1 for 1 at the park for

I'm sorry this thread just took a turn for the worst. I saw this last night and could not post on my phone and couldn't wait to post in the morning with I assumed would have more happy, positive comments. Then I get on this thread to only be disgusted by some of the members on here. I try my hardest not to post anything negative and to not get into threads that turn into complete drama. This one instance I can not avoid it for now when you say "Justin and friends," you are now including me. I find this very hurtful, because I have never done any member wrong. Also these lies and rumors are just so disheartening on how much people believe all these things. I can hear rumors on end but I do make decisions for myself before judging a person. After reading some of these terrible posts I wanted to go in disproving facts, but it would just be a waste of time.

I just want to greatly apologize bjean on the turn this thread took. I wanted to tell you thank you so much for this post! I wasn't there for that particular day of trading but my bf Sebastian was. I remember him coming home telling me how he met the nicest trader at the park that day and you could tell that she loved to trade just to trade. ^.^ I found that so awesome because really that's what pin trading is all about. I also wanted to thank you because in trading with him you also helped my Dumbo collection out with a pin you traded him and I absolutely love it!

Also I sent a PM to Bjean apologizing for myself and everyone else posting such HATE in her very lovely thread.

I'm all happy for Bjean, glad they had a good trading experiense. Sorry I missed you. I was literaly shocked when she said one traders name though. And HATE is a very strong word, especially in caps. I don't hate anyone. I disapprove of shady, coniving, and deceitful behavior. I took it to PM but Justins' rep follows him. The fact you flat out deny FACTS that I have witnessed myself is enough for me to know you are trying to play damage control like a politician caught in a lie. Justin is bad news, I hope everyone that reads this forum learns who he is and to tread carefully around him. I'd chose not to support or trade with individuals like him. I'll trade with good honest people.

And there is NO way he was in the UP unofficial line when it moved into being the official line. He may have been there at 4pm with you but he didn't stay until the line moved at 11pm. I was sitting at the entrance to the alley the entire night, I did not go to sleep. I watched Justin walk in and take the spot of those college kids that left. I watched the guard confront him and ask him if he had a ticket, which we all knew he didn't and then he produced the ticket for the spot the kids were in. Everyone had a number in line, everyone knew who was supposed to be where. Don't try to spin or twist what I say. I will not allow that to happen!!! Put that in caps if you like.

Wow ... what happened to my friendly thank you?? I feel really bad that so much anger and discontent has been expressed in this posting ... I just wanted to thank all the lovely people that I met and traded with on Sunday June 10th! I had a fabulous time and traded with lots of great people!! I've been collecting Disney pins since 1986 ... the first time I took my daughter to Disneyland! Back then there weren't that many pins to purchase as Disney only made a few dozen pins or so ... I bought a couple as they were great momentos and easy to pack for the trip home. My daughter and I tried to make 2 trips per year to Disneyland back then and each time I would add to my collection. In 2001 my daughter went to UCSD and as I was making several trips (via car) up and down I-5 (from Sacramento), Disneyland was a perfect spot to stop for some refreshment and even a little retail therapy especially on my way home from San Diego ... after all she is my only child and it was a very difficult transition having her leave home so going to the Happiest Place on Earth was just what I needed, lol!

I think it was October 2001 when I first discovered pin trading ... still have the first pin I got from a CM trade and the first pin I got from a private trade! Oh what great fun this is ... and a perfect thing for someone like me to meet people, talk with them, share some happy moments and maybe a tear or two as well all in the name of friendship! I was amazed what could develop over these shiny pieces of metal!! And oh boy did I use retail therapy to help me through the tough times, lol!! I managed to fill up pin bags, boxes, drawers, binders and walls in my house all with pins! I love them all ... and this also gave me an outlet for my secret desire to be a Fairy Godmother ... I can walk up to a stranger or children I don't know and ask them to look at my lanyard ... "see anything you like" ... "this one?" ... ok ... please take this as a momento of your trip to Disneyland!! I love giving away pins and seeing the smiles that it brings!! No I'm soooo not weathy! I struggle every month like most of us and I'm still paying my daughter's school loans!! But over the years I've managed somehow to save a little or set some aside for pins and a trip now and then to Disneyland! I can sit in the park for hours and absorb the happiness and the beauty of the park!! It really is a magical place!

For those of you that I traded with ... I thank you for the time you shared with me and the joy you gave me!! For those who I gave a pin too, it's my way of sharing the happiness and the magic of Disneyland! For those of you that have had different encounters with the people I mentioned above ... I'm sorry for you and for your discontent ... I had a completely different experience and I wish I could meet you in person and give you a bit of the joy that I have had! Life is too short for anger and for hostility ... please take a couple of deep breaths and try to find peace and serenity! I wish everyone happiness and may all your pin dreams come true!

I hope that all further comments on this string will be of a happier note as that was my intent when I started it! Live long and prosper!! *bjr

Thank you Pauly!! Yep, I meant Sunday June 10th ... not the 11th ... buy hey, at least I was consistent even in my other posts, lol!! Guess I need to clean my glasses or something, lol!! Take care, *bjr

Woah woah woah, we never said who it's was because we don't even know them, all I said was that there were two people there who were kinda sharky is all, I don't know if it was you or your friend or whatever
Im not hating on anyone and I for sure didn't join trading or the forum for hating on people, I was just saying that there were two people who didn't really make us feel welcome, I'm not even sure who you are.

I think you thought we were talking about you or something?? There were a good chunk of people with the same sorcerer stitch that I'm talking talking about, it goes on eBay for 15$ because I looked it up later on, don't tell me that pin is a fair trade for the avengers set
or that the little mermaid marquee is worth an OE tron Mickey (which we already had lol)

But you know what it's my fault for opening my mouth (or keyboard) about people who I don't know and we apologize if you got offended, I'm pretty sure it wasnt anyone here, like we said it was our first time there and more than anything we were describing our experience. Take no offense as we didn't mean any by it, and please don't assume that it's automatically you or one of your friends, we just wrote what exactly happened.

If you're there on Thursday i will gladly point out who we are talking about (if they're there)

Again we apologize but don't hate us because again we don't know who they were and if you know who I am in person and on here then it obviously wasnt you

In the end to sum it up
We apologize to stitch (again I don't think it was you, specially if we talked longer than a few min)
We apologize to the readers as we didn't mean anything this big by it

And most of all we are apologizing to bjean (filled a post with dark side talk)
