Disney Art plus a pin question!

Okay, I figured I would try asking here since I know a lot of you like to display your pins.

I recently purchased a sketch from Art of Disney at Downtown Disney. I did not want to pay the money required to get a frame PLUS the pin. Considering I already had the pin, all I need was a mat + frame. Now, I am not very artistic. Does anyone know how I would go about getting the pin into the picture? I do not really know how to describe it, and cannot find a picture of what I am trying to convey. I know I can make a mat, cut out a portion for where I want the pin to go, but just do not how I would effectively get the pin in so it does not like push against the glass and just sits comfortably.

Hi there!

The best thing to do is to take a tiny piece of the matte board and make 2 - 4 small pieces and put them in the very edge of the front of the larger matte board to create a bumper between the glass and pin! Also when putting the pin through the matte board you should pre-poke the hole using a tumbtak or somthing so you don't accidentally bend the pin post!

Many of the craft stores like Michael's or Hobby Lobby have a framing department, and they can help you design and make a matte frame for your pin/picture. I hope this helps.
