Which pin are you looking for? I might have it.Thank you! That's really reassuring though I may still hold out for anyone who has the original bag with label just to be safeSometimes the prices seem too good to be true which was another factor that got my Spidey senses tingling.
I'm a big Tink collector and there are a few p;ins I would love to add but it makes me nervous to see big fluctuations in price when I know the approximate value. While I realize someone might not realize what they have, or just need to make a sale, I worry they could be fakes as I see a LOT of them in the market.Which pin are you looking for? I might have it.
Not sure which pin you're referring to but when I do a search for Tink Purple Heart in MPC, nothing comes up from my ISO...I have the purple heart Tink and got directly from Disney. DM me if you are interested in that one.

Thought that might be the one you were referring to. Not a specific ISO and given how little room I have left, am going to hold out for the ones I've earmarked and have been hunting for but THANK YOU!#94341 on Pin and Pop
Hey there! Yes, It was a quick write-up I did yeeeears ago on the various back patterns for the DA Masterpiece series. The details mentioned probably cannot be applied to other DA pins.

Soooo I bit the bullet and purchased 2 DA dressing room door pins that looked legit - came on black numbered cards in plastic bags that had the same number - but not the sticker with the name. In addition to the two posts, they have little nubs which are not mentioned on any description I can find. Otherwise, weight feels good, hammers feel appropriately spaced. I went back to check a bunch of my other DA pins and some have nubs and some don't. Does anyone know if I should be concerned?
Agree, but when I see some of them on ebay for under $20, I worry. I realize keeping a running list of suspected fakes is a monumental task, but would be so appreciated by the broader pin community. It is not likely that the dressing door pins were made into scrappers.
I love the DA pins and would have died to be lucky enough to grab them for $5 - lucky you! Am not into adorbs at all and hoping to find a few more DA pins to complete my collection (especially Tink). IMHO they are so much nicer than any of the PALM pins that seem to skyrocket in price once sold out. I will happily continue to zag!Way back in the day, when Disney ended selling though Ebay, a lot of the PINS auction pins ended up in WDW's cast store for $5 a piece and cast pin party grab bags. Which is how I have the ones I do. Several of the dressing room doors were among them. If someone bought a bunch in 2005-2006 (timeline this happened) and got out of pin trading along the way, they could have been just sitting in a closet or old trade books until downsizing / estate liquidating came calling. With so many recent pins, they may not be on current collectors' radars. So basically, a storm of not that popular to begin with, maybe not a lot invested in them, people cleaning out, and not a lot of interest.
But they are still nice designs, and you can't go wrong with DA pins. I call picking stuff up like this as "zagging, while other people are zigging." If people are chasing Adorbs, and other stuff, there are nice pins somewhere available at a bargain.

Shoot - do you know if there's a list anywhere? My first stop is usually PinTradingDB but don't think they're up to dateThere were a few DA (or maybe it was DS) Tink pins that were scrapped, but not many

PTDB isn't up to date on DA/DS fakes, although we do try to be update on the more recent fakes.
I know there's one that @Purplemandms wants that was faked. She can tell you more about it.
