I looked for this thread but couldn't find it anywhere. If it does already exists: sorry!

I was wondering if you guys own any Disney books? I myself only have Disney Treasures, The Art of the Princess and the Frog and I'm getting The Art of the Disney Princess from my aunt. Which books do you own and what do you think about them? Are there books you recommend or discourage? And is there someone who owns A Disney Sketchbook? I saw it online and I really like it!

I have mostly vintage and story books :P I'm not quite sure if that's what you're asking. But I collect mine primarily for the different artwork within them. Different artists/illustrators have different styles so I think it's beautiful and fun to see your favorite characters in new ways. I love mine :)

The only Disney book I have is The Art of Wreck-it Ralph. I think it's an amazing book and I always have a good time looking through it :).
I have that book, too. It's a great book for a great movie. Here's my LE Sgt. Calhoun doll posing in front of the book, showing design sketches of the character (by Glen Keane) and the final rendering.

Other books that I have are some My Side of the Story books for Snow White/Evil Queen, and Aurora/Maleficent, etc. Also the recently released books by J. B. Kaufman on the Art and Making of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The Art of Oz The Great and Powerful is a really nice book (although I wished it was hardbound rather than paperback), especially the sections on Joey King and China Girl. Here's a photo of some of these books, followed by my LE China Girl doll in front of renderings of her face based on Joey King's expressions:

Aladdin: The Making of an Animated Film
The Art of Pocahontas
The Art of The Hunchback of Notre Dame
The Art of Hercules
The Tarzan Chronicles
Brother Bear: A Transformation Tale
The Art of Meet the Robinsons
The Art of Bolt
The Art of Tangled
The Art of Wreck-It Ralph

I sorta...well kinda...have an obsession with Disney/Pixar art books. I use the "art school student" as an excuse for having them ;)

But if you were to get any, Disney only-wise, it's gotta be my favorite four: Hercules, Hunchback, Wreck-It Ralph, and Tarzan. The amount of art is amazing. Hunchback and Hercules really show you how the characters grew from early development to final product. Tarzan is basically Glen Keane's journal from the course of making the film, and who doesn't love a book filled with his sketches?! And Ralph will just make you smile the whole way through from the awesomeness it contains!

I haven't seen Oz yet (shame on me), but I do love how this looks! And China Girl is adorable.

Quite a collection! I would love to see some pictures, especially from Disney Dogs (didn't know it exists! I love dogs and Disney so that's a pretty good combo) and the Illusion of Life! Thought about buying that too. But I just ordered A Disney Sketchbook and am still waiting for The Art of the Disney Princess, so I need to slow down a bit :P

Oh my, I'm officially jealous! I would love that Tarzan book too. It's exactly as you say, who doesn't love a book filled with Glen Keane's sketches!
