You know, I love that in the movie, Lady T's dress had pale pink accenting but here that is substituted with plum. I'm torn between liking Cindy's tatters and wanting it intact. I dig the symbolism but the dress was intact when she was fondling the beads. It certainly is gorgeous and has me hoping for a 17" pink dress doll regardless. The corrected hair color and inclusion of Lucifer is serious bonus points. One last tidbit- in the movie Cindy's bow was white but the pink bow is cute.

Aurora is super plain but doesn't surprise me because the 2011 one was even dryer. Interesting, the Briar Rose doll was (by far) the most detailed doll she's gotten and the most screentime she got was when she was Briar Rose. Is Disney trying to tell us something? As for Maleficent, one itty bitty thing the 2012 doll got right; her staff.

Alice is just plain good hands down. QoH is adorable and has me seriously curious though. They're the surprise of the 4 (8).

Belle: I'm on the "her dress isn't supposed to be floor-length" boat as well. She's gorgeous but come on now, how often is she marketed in blue by Disney Store and done right? (The friends and wardrobe did it wrong too while Mattel for once did it right.) The only thing that could make matters "worse" is if she has blue high heels instead of black flats. Gaston, on the other hand, is impressive. His face and facial features smack the ball out of the park.

She is really beutiful, congratulations on getting the set!
Is it just me or does she really look more blond on these photos then on the promo picture?

it's because of the sunlight. Her hair are venitian blond. more orange than the picture show, inside the house without sunlight

I agre she is incredibly cute, I wish they would make a classic doll version of her. I wonder if Isabel fom the Elena of Avalor Deluxe Singing Doll Set has the same bodymold. They could make Wendy as well now that they have this new child body.

they should release a classic alice doll. This afternoon I'll do the queen of heart's then alice and queen of hearts together. Preview of queen of hearts ^^

i like her eyelashes, they are cute and her legs ^^

Oh, those legs they could use it for the good fairies from Sleeping Beauty. (I'm not a fan of the beanbag bodies)
I like her petticoat as well, it's beautiful!

pics of alice and queen of hearts

and both alice and cinderella

For everyone who missed the announcement, Disney has officially announced the new collection and the release dates for them.

Full set pre-order: August 31st
Cinderella/Tremaine: Sept. 7th and Sept. 8th
Belle/Gaston: Sept. 20th and Sept. 21st
Alice/Queen of Hearts: Oct. 4th and Oct. 5th
Aurora/Maleficent: Oct. 18th and Oct. 19th

The dates are basically the same as the leaked ones. This means that we should see the designer collection items drop at the end of the month with the pre-order.

They also acknowledged the error with the Alice and Queen of Hearts set (where they called the queen the Red Queen), and apologized for the error. Its apparently too late to fix it.

Huh, here they say that full set pre-order is on the 31th August

So the first date for each is the date it will be available in store? Just trying to make sure here. I am planning on going in to pick up Alice so.. yay!

ETA: Sorry! Just read the blog post and it answered my question. Ah, looking forward to this - I hope I am lucky enough to get the set I'm looking for.

Here is what they say about the name mix up:

*Please note that in this exclusive Alice & the Red Queen set, Alice is paired with ‘The Queen of Hearts’ from the traditional Alice in Wonderland tale. While the box and certificate of authentication correctly reference ‘The Queen of Hearts,' the plaque shown on the display case describes this character as the Red Queen. We apologize for the misuse of this character name.

I was hoping the dates were wrong. Alice comes out when we are on vacation at Universal Orlando, so no set for me, unless they are still available when we wake up at 6AMish and I can get online. I'm not going to wake up at 3 to try and order, and then be tired out for a park day.

I don't see my store listed x_x and I was really hoping to go in store, that sucks. I'm going to call to make sure but really hoping all the online mess is taken care of.

The store near me is listed. But I have school on that day, so if I do try for a doll set. It will be online. Good luck to everyone trying either way.
