I pretty much just created this thread for the fun of a little conversation. Everything is all speculation at this point as to what movies will be added to the collection next. But, I got to thinking recently and, since there is a wildly successful collection dedicated to the Classics, I really do believe that this collection does have the potential to take off and be successful as well. And, frankly, I am very excited as to what the potential of this collection holds.

The only future potential dolls that I can think of are from the Maleficent movie that is coming out next year and *maybe* something from the new Pirates movie...that is apparently back on the horizon. I only say maybe because, sure they made a James Franco...but the other 3 had fabulous gowns. So, unless there are some pretty gowned characters in the new movie...I don't really see it happening. The Maleficent movie...how could they not? Even though I will be buying a Maleficent doll as soon as it posts...just because it will technically also double as an Angelina Jolie doll...I'll be a little..."" about it all. From that movie, they could make at least Maleficent and the 3 good fairies...that have been renamed. (I KNOW RIGHT?!?!) The future potential of this collection is really limitless.
And, I am now thinking that I am on board with the desire to have them create a Theodora in Red doll.

BUT!

How glorious would it be if they could work retroactively?

I was looking at my Oz dolls and got to thinking about 3 witches I simply adored and loved long before these new 3 witches. The Sanderson Sisters. Could you imagine how glorious they would be? Oh my God! People would eat them up! There's no way that they would be sitting on store shelves for long. And, you know, they are still prevalent. They bring the movie props and costumes to almost every D23 convention. Wishful thinking, but I would be ecstatic! I really truly hope that there is that spark of an idea that bursts in to flames of reality and these dolls get made!

Of course, it would also be nice if they could make a Narissa doll (and Enchanted collection). Maybe they have ironed things out and told Amy that she should just be grateful to have been cast.
(Personally, were I lucky enough to be cast in a movie AND a popular enough character that people wanted a doll of...I'd feel blessed just to have that paycheck that came from working in the movie...aaaaaaaaaaaand...would ask for at least one of every doll made of me.)

So yeah...those were my random thoughts that I had and wanted to share.
What do you guys think? Any dolls you would like to see in the future? Any from the past?

It would be interesting to see if Disney picks up with some more dolls from Pirates of the Carribean, but at least with On Stranger Tides, Disney had sold the rights to Mattel for dolls Captain Jack Sparrow and Angelica. The Jack Sparrow doll in particular looks really good. With Angelica, they got a little lazy by not making a new head sculpt for her (Mattel just used their most recent Lara head sculpt, which is admittedly pretty darn close to Penelope Cruz). Now, if Disney wants to produce dolls with this Captain Jack Sparrow head sculpt, I think they would have to buy it off of Mattel, and I don't think Disney has ever done that (which is why the late-90s Great Villain dolls' wonderful head sculpt might possibly never be used again).

As for the Disney Movie Collection for dolls, I can see them making dolls for Maleficent. After all, why not? Disney has been very productive and innovative with making more dolls in the past few years.

As for Amy Adams, I don't particularly think that it is the actress herself is personally preventing Gisele merchandise. Whoever her agent is is probably the one who put that portion in her contract, and it's just more that Disney does not want to pay her royalties for any merchandise with her likeness.

I actually MADE the Sanderson Sisters for my Halloween window display!!! I'd be willing to sell them if you're interested??
