Disney Store Limited Edition 17" Dolls Discussion - 2016
All your pictures look amazing!!! I was planning on trying for her before I saw the movie, and definitely wanted her after seeing it. Now that I see all your pics I'm so glad I budgeted for her.

Congrats to all who got her!

Moana is definitely a doll you appreciate the more you look at her. I was feeling very meh about her based on the stock photos (honestly, I know the stock photos never do justice, but this time around they were horrendously underwhelming), but I went to get her anyway because of how much I adored the movie. I never caught all the fine details upon seeing the pictures and now that I have her I keep finding more details the more I look at her. I love that they put actual sand textures onto her feet and the little sand pile that Pua is on - it's such a nice touch and makes up for the perceived simplicity of her outfit. I thought she wasn't very detailed at all when I first saw her but man was I wrong.

Omg! After going to the mall to see her in the afternoon with my husband I decided not to buy her. I told my husband I didnt like her much and we cant spend much now after all the other dolls we already bought. When i went to the store my husband stayed behind outside the store which I found weird. I had to pull him inside so he can see her upclose and he told me he already did in photos lol. So i made up my mind not buying her. We hardly have space for her anyway I told myself. Then we came home and after changing my clothes and checking my ipad I came out of the room and guess what I saw? It was moana under my xmas tree! I was like what is it doing here? I was really shocked! He must have bought it while I was at work. Now I have to treasure her because its not my husbands nature to surprise me. Last time he did was a set of books that I loved. The rest of my dolls he bought because i told him i like it. But this moana i told him i didnt and he still bought haha. I was really happy despite it not even in my liking! I have to admit she looks so gorgeous upclose!

I wish I had the funds for her right now. She is beyond beautiful. I don't collect the 17" dolls but I'm going to have to save up for her. I hope she doesnt sell out at my local disney store. The 17" dolls don't always. I don't get paid until Friday. May have to save up to get her on the secondary market. Hopefully she doesnt go much over $200.

That's awesome! Congrats on your doll you didn't like :bigthumb:

And try Save25 for free shipping if the regular code doesn't work! Got mine and now off to bed. Much easier than Belle. Good luck all!

Haha i hope she grows on me eventually lol! Shes one doll I have that I will keep forever just because of that sweet memory. I was really happy being surprised nevermind that its a doll im not really excited about. Haha

It always depends on where you live and how "popular" your store is. But last night, my nearest store still had at least 15. (I stared lovingly at her for several minutes but made the Wise Choice and left without spending $$$ I shouldn't be spending. If she lasts crazy-long, maybe I'll get her after vacation.) ANYWAY, I'm only here til Thursday so can't help you after that, but I can PM you the phone # for my store, in case you want to try a ship-to phone order (in the event your store sells out). She is REALLY REALLY beautiful, so congrats to those who've gotten her and good luck to those hoping she hangs around a little longer!

[FONT=&quot]The doll needs a better background with colors ^^ . I’ll go to a special place to take picture of her ^^ I think adventure land will be great .

soon

I went to my closest Disney Store(the one in the Burlington Mall in Mass) last night to get some other gifts and they had 3 left now they only have 2 as I had to have her. I was iffy about her from the initial set of stock photos but after seeing the movie and loving it and the character of Moana herself I had to have the doll. Shes absolutely gorgeous in person as usual. There are so many little details that I was not expecting to be there like the sand on her feet, the water drops on her skirt ect. I was going to get her online but now im glad I don't have to and worry about receiving a damaged box or doll(i heard about all the Belle fiascoes) Good luck to all that want her and order her online. Oh and Pupuce great and amazing pictures as usual

I decided to brave the Christmas shopping traffic and bought Moana at my local Disney store last night after work. She is my first ever Disney collectible doll, and she is gorgeous. I still haven't decided if she will come out of the box, but I'm sure I'll want to get my hands on her after I fall in love with the movie once I'm finally able to see it. Thank you all for your posts which taught me so much about these dolls! Rapunzel is my absolute favorite character, and I would love to have her dolls, but as of right now I'm not willing to pay the crazy ebay prices. I came to this forum for the pins, but I might end up staying for the dolls...

I'm still not 100% sold on LE Moana's expression, but she looks a million, million times better in everyone's pics! Like I actually want her now, lol... Which is not good, as I don't have the money. Congrats to everyone that has managed to get her!

I am also not sold on LE Moana’s expression. Her face looks too aggressive and masculine. In the movie, Moana’s eyebrows are softer and her lips are a lighter color. I also think that a different outfit would have made LE Moana more special – maybe the outfit she wore at the end of the movie?
I bought the Disney Store’s singing doll and I love her. She is prettier and movie accurate.

Thanks for all the pics as they helped me decided to get my first Disney LE doll! I really like her charter and she is so pretty! Also love the new body! And all the details are so nice!

When I first saw pictures of LE Moana, I didn’t think she was attractive at all. I’m glad that I went to see her in person, because the doll is so much better in real life. And the more I look at her, the more attractive she seems. I also understand people’s dislike of her facial expression. I think Disney is just recreating the expression she had on one of the first round of pictures they released. But it is a little more harsh that what we initially saw.

ETA: I would love to photograph her on the beach, but I don't want to take her out of the box and expose her to the elements!
