DisneyStore Limited Edition 17" Dolls Discussion
Hah Im interested in seeing how you do it too.. I clicked on the link as soon as it was up on FB and it was already sold out

Is there a certain time when she might pop back up? I'm sooooo desperate! I don't know if it is insane to click that button for hours and hours though...is it?

Haha, crazy is a relative term, but in my personal opinion if you really want to get a doll that badly, then you'll have a good chance (still not a guarantee, as but as close as it gets) to get her by refreshing that page. It may take a while, but if you really want her it'll be worth it.

NO!

Seriously guys, this is why we can't have nice things! Just leave getting the links to the link fairies.... Do you want EVERY doll to sell out within the first 10 seconds?
I have to agree with this. It can be done, but how to do it is probably not something that should be posted on a very public forum that anyone (including scalpers) can read. It took me hours to figure it out, but I did because I was incredibly desperate.

Haaaa... I'm up at 3:30 in the morning with three screens in front of me still trying to get wedding Cindy! My sister is doing the same! Congratulations to those who got her, if you do decide you don't like her, I can take her off your hands! Please let me know, my sister is obsessed with all things Cinderella.

Also, any European friends who could help out, she would happily pay for it!

I was able to get Wedding Cinderella and I didn't have any "special" help or anything...I don't know anyone that works at the Disney Store or has insider info. I clicked on the link from a Facebook doll page right at 3:00 and checked out as quick as I possibly could.

I think some people are looking too much into this...also remember there were only 250 released on the US site. For all I know I could get an email tomorrow that they oversold her and I am out of luck.

First off, I think we should all be grateful to the link fairies. Without them most of us would not get a doll. My new arrivals page for Disney is STILL not updated with the new dolls or any of the new arrivals for today. Ridiculous!

Whether you post something about it or not scalpers will find a way. It's like the weapons arms race. as soon as you come up with a defense there is a weapon to defeat it. Im sure they know that trick or other ways to make sure they get their money. if not it wouldnt be a viable source of income. Only one it hurts are the less savy/new scalpers or collectors not privy to this info =P

I actually didn't even want this doll because 500 is way to much but wanted to see if i could even get to check out phase incase another doll that I wanted with low edition ever came out. right when link came up and i clicked it the link to buy was giving me the sold out error. hard to compete with that =P

I'm with you guys. I had her in my cart ready to check out and deleted it.

I don't really like the doll well enough, but I was on the fence about her. It's hard to pass up the opportunity to own her when she's so limited. I was worried I'd see pictures of her later and find by some miracle she was actually pretty in real life. The truth is, the dress is gorgeous, but the doll sculpt is not appealing to me at all, and she does not look worth $500 (even though she's going for over $1000 on ebay even before she went up). I kept thinking though, if I had the chance to get it I'd be foolish to pass it up. If I didn't like her I could sell her, but I know I wouldn't get rid of her if I got her. I'm an all around doll collector and have to keep remembering not to go crazy for LE dolls. Anyway, long story short, I'm going to treat myself to another doll I've been wanting in the $200 to $250 range instead (crazy that seems like a bargain) that I will enjoy more, just not sure which one...there are soooo many.

It's weird, I'm glad I didn't get her and feel relieved, but still feel a little like I was foolish to pass it up. These things can drive you crazy. It's really hard to keep a good perspective and not get caught up in the frenzy. But I'm really glad for those collectors who got her and really wanted her. Please post pics when you get her in hand.

BTW I did get the blue version. Not crazy about the sculpt, but I think she's very pretty overall. I love the hair and like the skin tone. It seems to be a new trend. I rec'd my Frozen dolls today and think they are all gorgeous. I love Elsa's aurora borealis like skin tone, and I like the hair tinsel (another trend). It's nice they changed the dolls up. Also cool, I got Elsa #555. Not that the number matters, it's just some numbers are fun. I got #2000 on Prince Phillip back on October. I can't remember any of the other numbers.

which facebook page did you get the link from? the one I'm using posted it at 12:01

3:40 a.m. East Coast time and the website finally updates for the general public. That is ridiculous. Both dolls are sold out for the regular folks. Disney should have a better way. Again, thank you link fairies! Without your generosity I would never have gotten the blue gown Cindy!

whelp, the new page finally refreshed for me, no surprise releases but there are some cute new stuff.
anyways, i'm going to bed, don't tire yourselves out!

savvy, logic, and luck....I learned that during dollmageddon (correction I mean after....I ended up with nothing online during the 5 doll release). Sometimes I can find the dolls, sometimes I can't. There is no special insider info as far as I know. I'm sure the scalpers use the same method I do and have the same % of luck. Also, just the dolls and zazzle merch showed up....I didn't want Hans, but I was curious to see if the rumor was true,

Well, I managed to get Blue Cinderella. I am so happy because she is so gorgeous! I actually like her face mold and can't wait to see her in person!

I like her face too...she doesn't have the "big eyes" which is what makes her look the most different I think. This one looks a little less ticked off. The one with her and the price....they both look pretty angry at each other. Like a typical couples fight, lol.

Ditto! Any info is MUCH appreciated! If collectors cannot get to the items then the scalpers will. So, lets take the ammo outta the hands of scalpers and arm the collectors!!

This feels pointless. Will this really work? For a 250 edition? I'm in the US. Seriously if anyone honest doesn't want her, I can pay 600 but no more. I believe in magic! I'm trying to!

Someone said they got Anna last week at 5am. I think it is possible. I really thought a 4000 release would last longer than 5 min. Disney might release them in blocks to avoid system melt down. I don't know....g'nite all.
