DisneyStore Limited Edition 17" Dolls Discussion

Lol, she had to fit into those corsets somehow!

Yeah, I'm starting to feel like I live in a toy store ... I'm going to have to move to a bigger place soon or stop collecting. The only wall space I have left is in the bathroom!

Went to a super early screening (6am!) and liked the movie and the humor they've incorporated into it. Frozen Fever was actually really cute as well.

Then since I worked at the mall I stopped by the Disney Store and there were only 3 people waiting in front of the store 30 minutes before store opening. I was definitely more on the fence once I saw the doll in person (they still had 7 left 30 minutes after store opened), went back and forth and my husband ended up pushing me toward buying it.

I'm happy with the purchase, though I wholeheartedly agree Disney really need to hire a better photographer for the stock photos. Glad this was a really easy release for in-store and actually allowed me to really look at the doll in-person before making the decision to purchase and add her to my collection.

my elsa and anna doll finally arrived and i must say i also like the sheen of their skin! i actually like the skin and hair of the new elsa more than the coronation one, which is the only other frozen doll i have.
disney needs to find new photographers for the dolls, because srsly how can your promo pics look worse than the actual item??

I caved when I saw blue Cindy in person! There were only a few people in line and my store got 9 but they were all sold out in ten minutes. She actually looks beautiful. I adore her in the box and the skin sheen is more of a shimmer, which makes more sense because in the movie she is literally covered in glitter! She's definitely not photogenic though- I tried taking pictures of her and I don't like her in them but I love her in person! So happy I got her!

I was online right at 3:00 but it didn't matter. I clicked add to bag for Wedding Cinderella until 8am. Cinderella is very dear to my heart and I sold/saved a lot to afford her.
If anyone could bear to part with her, 600 is everything I have and you would be making a new collector the happiest girl in the world.
Congratulations to everyone who got what they wanted and condolences to those who did not.

Has anyone had problems with DisneyStore changing your shipping and billing information after you place an order? My ballgown Cinderella is giving me so much grief. I got the email confirmation, and everything was correct. I double checked it again just now. But I checked my order status earlier today, and the shipping and billing info was changed to my Sisters, which is completely different! She lives in a different state and everything. How on earth does this even happen? I called DisneyStore and they haven't a clue. They put in a change request for the address, but since I paid for the 2-day shipping it probably won't work. I'm just baffled. The only that is correct is my credit card number, which now has the wrong billing address attached to it.

Well I got the shock of my life. I only wanted blue Cinderella and our store always has dolls left over, but just in case... I left at 8:00 AM, I get up there and our Disney Store is being renovated for a more exciting and magical store. LOL

guess who owns a limited edition disney doll now? c:

didn't sleep the whole night in fear of sleeping through this release. got to the mall around 6:30. there were three people in line but they are a family of collectors, which was really cool to find out. had a lovely conversation with a girl about dolls and she walked me through the normal procedures, since i've never been to a doll release before. she was really nice! c: we got our cards at around 7:30 (and they let us keep them!) and i just chilled until 9:45.

we had 9 dolls in stock. i was leaving at around 10:15 and heard "you are the last one!" we had enough for everyone who was there. one of the cast members recognized me, which sort of shocked me. haha! i've only been to two frozen restocks and now this. oh and i did the key thing. i wanted that key. LOL

i am overwhelmingly happy. the doll looks gorgeous. in a panic state of mind, i didn't notice two faint marks on the plastic cover when choosing out of the two dolls but it's honestly so hard to see that my camera has trouble picking it up. and it's located right above where the plastic that holds her left hand is, so it just blends in the light.

she is gorgeous. i am not a huge fan of her face mold but she is growing on me every minute i look at her. the box reminds me of the mattel one, which i love. the background is fantastic, the ribbon is a nice touch (although i don't know what to do with the top one, looks tacky and like a lunch box).

i am so excited to see the movie in two hours. today, although friday the 13th, has been wonderful so far. i was really nervous to go, not sure what to expect or how things would go, but i am so glad that i have her in my possession.

i will upload photos when i get back. c:

I agree - as soon as I saw the first photos of the doll, I thought she looked like Julia Stiles!

I am kind of kicking myself for not staying up last night and trying to order Blue Gown Cinderella online... After seeing everyone's photos on here, she truly looks amazing! Congrats to everyone who was able to snag her and the wedding doll!! They will be gorgeous additions to your collection.

I have a question for all of you guys regarding UPS shipping right now. My LE Anna has been stuck in Tennessee for two days now after I received one weather exception email. I'd be calm as a clam if there had been some sort of update since then, but I've heard nothing from UPS beyond "we are working to deliver your package as soon as possible" in these two days. If the situation hasn't remotely changed that's one thing, but I wish they would just update the status every 24 hours so I would know she is still on UPS's radar and at least planning to get to my address soon.

I know others on the forum have had this problem (maybe not with Anna but with other Frozen dolls), but has anyone who got this message had their dolls delivered since then, and is there anything I can do to make sure she hasn't been lost? I'm really worried I might need to call Disney soon because of the amount of people that will inevitably call asking for replacements due to damaged boxes/dolls, since they might run out by the time I hypothetically find out if mine is damaged (or worse, lost). Ugh! Can you guys tell this is totally my first time with a shipping mishap?

Anyways, if anyone can help it'd be much appreciated. And a big congratulations to everyone who got one or both of the Cinderella dolls!

The fan photos of blue ball gown Cindy are lovely!! But am I the only one who thinks she resembles Cersei Lannister from GOT? Minus her trademark red gown. LOL

I see it now that you say it!

I cant find any good owner pics. I waned to see the wedding doll in person! I told myself after Frozen (again) and all the dolls I've bought in the last 6 months I'd skip cinderella, but when I saw her in person I caved. I also got to choose form 10 different dolls so I am super happy. We still have them online here in France- but we don't get the movie until the 25th.

Both my Anna and Elsa had weather delays where the tracking didn't update for a couple of days, but I just received them today ^__^ I wouldn't worry. I'm sure you'll get them eventually.

I heard that, in pre-Christian traditions, both the number 13 and the 6th day of the week were considered lucky, and they became unlucky in Christian tradition partly to distinguish it from them. I don't know if that's true (and I personally don't even believe in un/lucky days or numbers) but I've always had good days on Friday 13th and today seems to be no exception for many of us

My Anna was scheduled to be delivered today, but due to a ups trailer arriving late it will now have to be rescheduled. I'm disappointed as I've been looking forward to seeing her in person and ridding myself of this shipment anxiety! I'm nervous about damage or receiving a doll I didn't order instead, as I have unfortunately seen this happen to a few people. I feel like I remember seeing posts about the weight of packages, but can't remember where. Anyone know what the weights were for the most recent Frozen dolls? Were they the same or different? Thanks!

Also, congrats to everyone on their Cinderella dolls! I decided to pass on this release, but I did stay up last night for the excitement! I can't wait to see Cinderella tonight with some friends! Thanks to everyone posting pictures of their dolls!

From my experience with disney if you place an order and place another order with a different address and/or credit card it will change the other order to the newest information. I had this happen to me but when shipped it went to the original address as ordered originally. Did you maybe place a second order to be shipped to your sister's address? That would trigger the change but everything should be fine. I hope this helps but you can always call and ask them to manually change the address.
Good luck!

I went to the Champs Elysées Disney Store. I got Blue Gown Cinderella. I didn't want the Wedding Cinderella, too expensive.

Now, you're making me doubt my choice of skipping this release! I'm sure I could still get it at my local Disney Store. But the pin event sales start next month and I need to save up for it... Stay strong, don't waiver.

The delivery address was selected as the same for both orders, it was just the billing information that was different. DisneyStore doesn't know what happened, since my confirmation emails had all of the correct information. But I just got the blast off emails for both dolls (Wedding and Ball Gown), and the delivery information is still listing the wrong address for the ball gown doll. I paid for the express shipping, too (which they have promised to refund). Thank goodness it's at least a current address. My sister will have to send her to me once she arrives!
