Going to Disney store today was not fun at all. There were scalpers and they came as a group of 7 men and a woman. And there were only 11 Jasmine dolls available.
So getting her was close to impossible. Still I got Jafar and Tangled set. It is sad since there were some ladies with kids and they couldn't get anything. Wedding set looks very good in person but not 500£ good.
I can only guess.....Disney watched wedding live action Cinderella go for 2,000 instantly after she sold out. So they were like let's up the Jasmine set a little more. Remember the villain designer dolls? They doubled the edition size to 13,000 and then up'd them all 20 bucks.
I don't really understand how Disney thinks this set is worth 750$. The set looks okay, but it's lacking in detail; maybe it costs more for extra rhinestones, who knows. For a doll for that price, they could at least embroider Jasmine's outfit, if they can do it for a 100$ doll, then I'm pretty sure they could have done it for this one.

I'm in your exact boat! only opposite lol, I love Wedding Ali, but don't like the JasmineUgh, I am totally loving wedding Jasmine. Aladdin, not so much. But I'm a sucker for Jasmine. I'm still undecided if I'm going to try for the set or not.
Still disheartened with how everything turned outI can't believe that almost no-one managed to get Jasmine, etc online. It's not fair

Are they really pricing it at 750.00?? I thought it was 500.00 (not that it makes much difference because I'm broke)I have actually never seen the King of Thieves, but I like both dolls in this wedding set (but then that may be because I've never seen the King of Thieves, lol). The face sculpts are both amazing, Jasmine's dress and veil are beautiful, and I LOVE that Aladdin is in Prince Ali attire but...
There's ZERO justification for a $750 price tag, especially when there's no embroidery or other special details on the initial dolls they priced at $100. If this set had been around $200 I would try to get it for sure, but it's sadly just not worth it to me. Now I wish I hadn't looked at all...sigh.
And I'm so sorry to everyone who had trouble ordering dolls online this morning.

It's 500 euro so probably will be around $750 in usd.. I think it would've made more sense had they been around $300-500 mark for the set but $750 just seems way too greedy. It's like the whole Wedding Cindy situation all over again - she wasn't worth the $500 price tag but was priced at that mostly because of the low edition size.
i feel the same way, I guess I'm sort of lucky I'm broke because I can't even be temptedA part of me wants to buy the set because I love the Jasmine... And if I'm honest, it's tempting to have an LE number so low.
But the rational part of me says there's no way I'd ever spend that much on two dolls no better than the ones I could get for 240 dollars. Too bad Disney jumped the shark on this line.
ETA: There is NO justifiable reason for this price tag on them. Alice is more detailed with an LE of 500 and sold for the normal, LOWER price of 100 dollars, as opposed to 120. :/ At this point, I'm just disappointed.
