DisneyStore Limited Edition 17" Dolls Discussion
I know how you feel. Everything about him is great but the face. He looks like white boy playin dress-up...easy pass. But Jafar!!! He is amazing.

What do you guys think about this: I've found a lovely German lady on Facebook who has a spare Jasmine she pre-ordered from the US, for a friend who no longer wants it. She is willing to let me pay in instalments but it will be 270 euros because it includes the shipping and customs she paid to get it and reduced shipping for me. Does it seem like too much? It'll be about £200 which is nearly 3 times her retail cost. I want her quite badly and paying about £67 a month until January seems alright but it's just so much money! I'm wondering if her price will go down on eBay but at the same time not many have actually been listed because I think we got hardly any in the UK/ Europe.

Are you in the UK? If so where is your local store? This collecting game is becoming so much harder these days.

YYes I'm in London. It is bad but at the end of a day that is life.

By the way I would never buy any of these for more than retail price. I can't have all of them and that is fine with me...

So today I had intended to pick up Jasmine, and buy Jafar and Rapunzel/Gothel.

I wasn't planning to buy Aladdin because in a photo I saw, his face looked kind of Michael Jackson and his body looked kind of contorted. Also his hair was...strange, like an outgrown emo cut or something. I felt it didn't really say "Aladdin" to me based on the photo.

All of these factors were actually a lot better in real life. His nose is a bit small for Aladdin but it's a normal sized nose, it isn't MJ small. His body is not actually contorted, it looks natural enough in that position, and Abu peeking out on his shoulder is really cute. His hair is under control and neatly styled. The detail on his outfit was nicer than I expected too. His scimitar looks good and I'm digging the red gems on it. I also really like his box backdrop. Overall he was definitely saying "Aladdin" to me! So you guessed it, in the end he had to come too, and I love the set of three of them together.

As for the other dolls I picked up today, they are fabulous as I knew they would be - each one in its own way A big haul today, but worth it!

I was able to get Aladdin and Jafar today at the Disney Store. I'm sooio happy. My teal Jasmine and red Jasmine should be arriving soon to complete my set.

I was a bit appalled by Aladdin's photos, but I agree, he is really nice in person. His hair is very neat and his facial expression doesn't look so goofy like it does in the photos. I used to freak out over stock photos but I've learned to reserve my judgement until I see the dolls in person. The dolls are always better than those photos. I can't think of one instance where the doll looked better in the photo than in person.... well except for Aurora, but that was because it was the Harrods version and not the same doll.

my jasmine arrived in the mail today!
her box was a bit beat up, but not enough for me to want to go through the trouble of trying to exchange her.

the peacock earrings i bought for her were very easy to attach and i think they look pretty good x3

Those Earrings go very well with her outfit, it looks like she came this way

ahaha thank you! i was pretty happy with how it turned out too!!

oh god i just caught up with the thread and that wedding set tho... $750... that's... way too rich for my blood.

Does anyone know the quickest way to get links or product codes? Jasmine's wasn't up until she was basically sold out. Is there some place on the internet where the links are that little bit earlier? Sorry. I guess I'm a little freaked out because of how fast she sold out.

Did you try the Disney Limited Edition Dolls FaceBook page? It is a great site where both the moderator and users can post both the Europe and US links. I've never heard of anyone waiting longer than a few minutes there before a link is posted.

I have been collecting Disney LE dolls for 4+ years, and I still don't know how people get the links/product codes so fast...

What store did you go to?

I would go for it. Prices on eBay are going up.

Were you at Harrods? I've heard a guy goes and takes most of his family with him!!

I had an epic, easy, time killing experience today! I knew I had to prepare for this day so well the minute I saw the beautiful Aladdin dolls at D23 Expo in person. Usually my reports are pretty lengthy but this time it was fast, easy, & met an awesome doll collector in line. We both pretty much had an epic conversation cause she too was also at D23 Expo & I had no idea a fellow Canadian (yet alone a Calgarian) & tried out to get the Red Slave Jasmine doll too. Unfortunately she was one of the people that was close but missed it by 20 people =\ but we both had a great conversation of how our first time D23 Expo Experience went & the amount of "cons" to it. Anyways, my store had 6 Jafars & 9 Aladdins & of course, I was the first one at my local store location. It seemed everybody came right when the store opened cause there was only 4 of us waiting till the store opened. Overall, this was a very pleasant release especially these will be the gems to my ultimate Aladdin collection. & these are pics I took before I cried like a little baby while watching my favorite movie of all time.

Here are my numbers from the dolls itself. Was pretty happy about Aladdin's number

That's awesome!

I wanted Jafar so bad! I was the 7th person in line and of course my store had 6 Jafar's and they were all spoken for .... I will be trying tonight online!

I know it's still early, but here's the codes for the dolls: Aladdin:460703184443; Jafar:460703400758 I know she was a presale, and thus probaby not avalable anymore, but here's Jasmine's too, just in case: 496291823280. Finally, even though there's a separate forum for the designer dolls, I figured I'd post the Rapunzel/Gothel code as well, that way anyone interested in both doesn't have to go back and forth between forums: 460702950636 :3 Good luck to everyone getting the dolls tonight, they are awesome in person, I even like Aladdin more than I initially thought I would!

My store had four of them, thankfully I was the first in line, but one of my friends came late and ended up as 5th in line. Hope you both get him tonight! He's a bit too big for the box, his hat is kinda squashed, but he's still a great doll! Good Luck! :3
