DisneyStore Limited Edition 17" Dolls Discussion
I prefer the in-box blue Aurora simply because she's glancing the opposite way of pink. I also prefer the painted neck on Mal, but I would've loved her either way. She's fantastic <3

Although I'm disappointed that blue Aurora is not more detailed (false advertising, Disney!), I'm still excited to receive her as finally she's in blue again. Never been a fan of the pink though the other doll is pretty.

I was in Oxford Street at 10:40 today. They still had about 5 Auroras in blue, 6 Malfecients and quite many Philips left.

disney store champs elysées in Paris sold out both aurora, this morning. Very few maleficent are left from what I'm told some hours ago, and plenty philippe.

Somehow people got in before the mall opened. I was 6th in line in front of a bunch of middle-aged people. THEY ONLY HAD 5 BLUE AURORAS. 5. The cast member handed out the vouchers and when she got to me she said "Sorry, princess" and the security guard eyed me up like I would cause trouble. I'm 5 feet tall for crying out loud lol

Guess I'll have to try online tonight. Ugh, it'll be a bloodbath. Congrats to those who got their dolls, and good luck to those like me!

I hope your able to get blue aurora, if that were me, I would be mad.

This release was by far the worst I have attended since Dollmaggedon in 2011. We got to the mall around 7:20 thinking we would be totally fine but there were already 18 people there. By the time they started handing out tickets there were probably close to 50 people in line. They had 14 blue Auroras, 14 Maleficent, and 12 Phillip. I missed blue Aurora by like 3 people but was able to get the LAST Maleficent. Unfortunately my Maleficent had a black mark on her box right near her face, and I wasn't able to choose another one because I had the last one. I purchased her anyways and hopefully I can try and get the mark off at home. So at least I was able to get one doll I wanted and pick up my Pink Aurora (which is beautiful) so the trip wasn't a waste. Now we are hanging out until the Cinderella raffle at 1:00. If I am successful in purchasing her I will only have to try for blue Aurora online tonight...which makes me less stressed.

It's really disappointing how many are already on eBay / people selling on facebook. I almost gave in and bought one for 2 1/2 times the retail just to have one less to worry about.

How disappointing they changed the dolls a little. Less crystals on Aurora - it matches the pink now but why tease with those different promo photos.

I'm not sure about Maleficent. That neck, I don't know. It looks a little More strange. The rest of the doll looks Really good.

Maleficent looks amazing in person! I'm actually glad they changed blue Aurora. I wanted pink because the blue looked very bling and a little much but seeing them both and the changes I went with blue.

The false advertising on the blue Aurora doll is ridiculous. I really appreciated the design aspect how the pink was ultimately more elaborate than the blue and I thought that was because of the smaller edition size, but lo and behold she's exactly the same. I still like the blue better than the pink, but I don't like the fact that they advertised a completely different doll to get people to buy her.

It's not false advertising, all of Disney's stock photos don't always show the finished product.

Plus if it actually bothers someone that much, they don't have to buy it.

Video uploaded on youtube if any one what's to see the blue Aurora

i do agree the Blue Aurora is different to the picture provided by Disney!

You're 100% completely correct, I didn't have to purchase her. However, I didn't get to see the actual doll up close until after I had purchased her. The fact that they displayed the doll a week before the selling as something more elaborate could be constituted as false advertising. They had already mass produced the doll by then and could have taken an updated photo of her. I'm sure that they will use the same stock photo tonight in the online sales. I'm just saying that this is something that could have been prevented and a lot of people are going to buy her tonight thinking they're going to get something different.

I still like her, and I appreciate her don't misunderstand. I just wish they would have been more transparent on their advertising.

Ok guys I really need some help/advice about my pre-ordered Aurora. Maybe someone who has had this problem with international shipping before. So my order says shipped 10/02 with no tracking. Disney have STILL not emailed me any tracking info and have told me to wait another 1-3 days now! The money has been taken from my account. I have told them now I want to know where my doll is or I want my card refunded. It costs a lot to call from the UK but I guess by Friday I will have to call them. I would just like some advice of what I can say to them or do....I'm a little bit lost and emailing them just isn't cutting it.

I received a 'thank you for your order!' email, doesn't mean it's gone through though does it? I ordered at around 8:14.

Also, as others have said, the pink Aurora had crystal on her cape in the promo photo. Shame things get cut out.
