DarthHans- aw that's a bummer for that last person!! I was going for the blue aurora that's why I wasn't sure if they had enough to make the drive. I would've hated to be #6!!
 
Thanks so much for posting pics of him!! He looks MUCH better in these photos and dare I say, he's a cutie lol I'm so going to try for him tonight i skipped Prince eric because I didn't like how he looked in pics or in person but Phillip looks great!

Decided to call up Disney and get a refund for my pink Aurora. I got the blast off email on Oct. 1st, but tracking never updated. When I called, the cast member said she checked every way possible to track it down, then gave me the "I'll speak to so and so from this department. They should get back to you in 24-48 hours yada yada...". At the point, I was so frustrated I just wanted my money back to put towards a blue Aurora. Kinda bummed, but I wanted blue Aurora more anyways, so fingers crossed I get her tonight! :x: Just hope I don't have to deal with any more shipping issues if I can snag her.

Congratulations to everyone who was able to get the dolls they wanted!

I felt bad for the person. However they did wait till like 5 minutes before the store opened to get there.

Thank you for the pictures! He looks great! Originially I was appalled at his face but those pictures are waaaaay nicer than the promo ones. Why Disney isn't taking great promo pictures is beyond me; I nearly wasn't going to buy him because of the awful pictures, but now I will!
 

This was exactly my store experience. The pre order for pink Aurora was handled perfectly, today everyone was ignored until opening ceremony where they just told everyone to go to the registers.
 
I raced to the nearest disney store at lunch to see if by chance anything was left which turned out to be exactly when they were doing the raffle for this weeks couple release and there were 4 princes left. I patiently waited in line to see three guys decide they each wanted to by one and out loud one of them said I'm just going to sell it on eBay anyway. This same guy told the manger he'd be back to get next weeks ebay haul. I did luck out and got the last prince so I was really excited for that, but really wanted to punch the guy in the face. So at least now I only have to figure out how to get two dolls tonight!
 

i would want to punch that guy too!! Lol.
 
To those that already have their dolls in hand, have you noticed any incongruences between the stock photos and the physical dolls themselves? My blue Aurora’s dress doesn’t have lighter coloured roses nor does the dress have as many rhinestones (not that I’m really complaining about that detail though XD). Also, my Maleficent has a black neck thing (an extension of her headpiece painted on) as opposed to just an exposed green neck.

Yes, they aren't the same as the stock photos at all. Aurora's blue dress is exactly the same as her pink dress (just a different color) when the stock photos showed slight differences.

Maleficent's cowl goes all the way down her heck (although it should go all the way down her dress, I thought she was completely covered up there?)
 
Congrats to all who succeeded in getting the dolls, and I offer my condolences to those who didn't. Hope you all have better luck online tonight.

As for me, we got to the store an hour before they opened and were STILL the first ones there! No one else showed up until fifteen minutes before opening. Our store had 6 of each doll, and there was a bit of a crowd (probably between 8 and 13). Aurora and Maleficent sold out quickly, and Phillip was last to go. Regardless, I now have all 4 Sleeping Beauty 17" dolls, which has been mine and my dad's goal since we first learned of the 17" dolls.
 

I got lucky in that my sleeping schedule is out of whack right now anyway, so heading out early wasn't tough for me. LOL!

Yeah, I was reading your posts in the food court, but didn't know what you looked like! Maybe I'll drop the t-shirt I'm wearing next time so you can find me

So can I ask everyone's opinion on something? My store did not get their shipments of the new dolls released today. What they did instead was have a sign up sheet where you could put your name down for the doll(s) you wanted and your place on the sheet would be held to purchase a doll once they arrive (supposedly on Thursday) unless you change your mind and don't want them anymore, then they'll be passed along to the next person. They're going to call those of us on the sheets when the dolls come in. I'm number 4 for Aurora and 1 for both Maleficent and Phillip which means I'm guaranteed all three dolls (they did get in the pink Aurora pre-orders so I picked mine up today) HOWEVER. I am completely terrified that they'll call in a few days and say "oops, our bad, turns out we aren't getting the surprise dolls AT ALL would you like a $10 gift card for the Disney Store website that won't even cover 1/4 of the shipping to Canada? TROLOLOLOLOL"

So I am considering ordering at least one of the dolls tonight. Maleficent is the one I want most but I know blue Aurora will be higher valued on the secondary market meaning I would end up paying more for her if I went that route. I also don't really want to pay for yet another expensive doll if the store truly IS getting them and I pick the ones reserved for me up there, which I'd much rather do. I really don't want to end up with doubles as that takes away from someone else who wants one, then going through the hassle to sell (at retail + tax/shipping cost) or trading it with someone.

Ugh, decisions decisions. Did ANY other stores have the issue of the dolls not showing up on time other than the two in BC, Canada? Anyone here from other Western Canada provinces, Edmonton/Calgary area? Or Washington/Oregon? I assume all California stores got their shipments as I know several of you are from there and no one else has mentioned this screw up.

The stress of this hobby sucks. The next LE doll had better have a MASSIVE LE number (like, Wedding Rapunzel/Merida big) unless it's Cruella as villains don't seem to be in as high a demand. But pretty princesses will always sell well, and fast. THANKS A LOT, FROZEN.

EDIT: AH HA HA! Decided to call the Disney Store on the off chance the dolls arrived from UPS today in the afternoon as the manager mentioned that was a possibility and they HAVE! So I'm one less person trying tonight, which is sadly going to be INSANE. I WISH EVERYONE HERE TRYING LOTS OF LUCK AND PIXIE DUST!!

Hey guys. Congratulations to everyone who got their dolls today. Everything went pretty smoothly at my store. I arrived at 8 and was the second person there. My store had 6 of each doll except Aurora, only 5 due to one arriving damaged. They only had to turn one person down (who was trying to convince the rest of us not to buy dolls and even admitted to not being a collector). I originally was going to pass on Phillip, but I was pleasantly surprised how good he looked in person so I decided to buy him along with Maleficent and Aurora. I got a message that my pink Aurora will be arriving tomorrow afternoon which is very exciting/scary since I have no idea what condition she'll be in. Here's some quick pictures I took of them tonight. I plan on taking nicer ones tomorrow when pink Aurora arrives.

BTW: I noticed another difference with Maleficent's stock photos and actual doll. There are no gems on the purple end of her sleeves/robes on the actual doll.




 

Oh my I love how you lined the three of them up with Maleficent slyly glancing at Phillip and Aurora posing for prom.lol

Also didn't notice the missing gems on Maleficent's robe! Good catch! Guessing our complaints of rhinestone galore got to them..
 

I'm also in BC.

My store didn't get them in either until about 1pm that day. It was crazy, the Cindy raffle and now everyone is picking up all these dolls, it was madness.
 
It pisses me off that a lot of people bought an extra Maleficent or Blue Aurora to trade.. SO mad...

There was this woman who blatantly said: I bought a maleficent to trade for a LE frozen doll.
A lot of people bought a blue aurora only to trade her for another doll. It angers me a lot!
 

Those pictures make me want to debox my aurora! But I don't want to, I like the way she is right now.
 

Someone is already selling Maleficent for over 200$ on this forum over in the "others" sales.

This is ridiculous.
 
Blue Aurora will never be worth a Frozen doll... Why don't people just save their $ and buy the dolls they actually want and leave the new ones to people who actually want them?!
 
When I went to the disney store, I could kinda tell who were the scalpers, they were the ones who seemed like the most uninterested in getting the dolls, and they didn't look like those happy people that collect dolls.
