DisneyStore Limited Edition 17" Dolls Discussion
anybody else shocked about disney releasing random LE dolls last week like whut... they can't give people a different doll when theirs got a fault but they can sell them a couple of weeks later?? like whutttt

On the DS UK site, the Frozen Fever dolls, Wedding Aladdin/Jasmine, DFDC Heroes vs. Villains were up.

Who knows if it was an error and people got cancellation notices?

the wedding sets were cancelled right away some people already recieved their frozen fever anna and elsa who look perfectly fine. others got their heroes vs villains who looked terrible.

Yay!!! oh my gosh, I can post!!

Hi everyone! I've been following the forum for awhile now & unfortunately I couldn't post but thanks to a kind admin @dancecats I can now! I'm so grateful for this thread & all the help that is given by doll collectors

a little vent here....so i admit i got sucked in at the time, wanting an LE Elsa doll and ended up getting the purple Elsa, then of course they release FF Elsa which is so much better, so I got her, and now I cannot sell my purple Elsa for retail. I definitely don't want 2 so I will probably have to take a loss on her. I really wish they never released her, or at least did it after the FF dolls!

Almost the same way with me. I wanted a le Elsa, but I wasn't desperate enough to buy the purple Elsa. I admit she pretty, but the fact that she has tinsel, and shine together is a turn off; and due to the fact that her dress isn't a dress that's recognizable.

Hi all,

I have the opportunity to purchase a "partially deboxed" Snow Queen Elsa doll for £810 (GBP) including shipping from a good seller. This doll is my grail, and I am wondering if this is a good deal. She has been re-boxed with the original wires and ties into her original pose, and looks brand new. I'm also debating whether it's wise to spend so much on a doll... Should I go for this one or hold off? I will also mention that I am not a deboxer.

Any advise is appreciated!

If you're not a deboxer, don't buy a reboxed doll. I'm not sure how much dolls go for in the uk (sometimes it seems like the same number as the US but with a £ in front of it!), but I have noticed the price peaks have dropped. Last tax season was the worst for prices and then it calmed down. You MIGHT be able to find a mint sq Elsa for cheaper than that reboxed one.

Regardless, you don't collect reboxed dolls, so she's not really what you're looking for.

Thank you very much. I was thinking of holding off, and you have pretty much allowed me to make up my mind. The deboxed bits would probably drive me crazy after a while, and I may end up regretting it.

I have also noticed that the prices are higher in the UK than in the US, probably due to the lower number of dolls that are allocated to Europe than US (since anyone can purchase on the US DS site). It also mainly has to do with customs/import fees/taxes that are incurred when shipping from the US to Europe.

Personally, I wouldn't pay that much for a deboxed doll, but that's just me.

It looks like the first LE doll of the year is going to be Minnie Mouse according to the Facebook page. LE 3000 releasing 1/22. I think I'm skipping her. I've decided to be a lot more selective this year after reviewing how much I spent on Disney dolls last year. 2015 was insane and I got dolls I could have lived without for fear of regretting missing a great doll and then not being able to afford it on the secondary market. I like the idea of an LE Minnie, but I'm not wowed by her and I rarely collect Minnie, so I don't know where she'd fit in my doll collection. Anyone here going to get her? Thoughts?

I'm surprised more people here on the forum aren't talking about her. She is really cute and a nice variant to the D23 doll, but I personally won't be getting her. Its still a nice doll though, and a great alternative for those who couldn't get the D23 doll!

hi everybody! i need a suggestion...
do you think trading snow gear anna plus 150 euros for coronation elsa would be fair?

It's hard to say. I know dolls cost more in euros, but it seems like maybe a bit high. I bought Coronation Elsa early last year and paid $435 with shipping in the US. It doesn't appear to have really increased much, and I've even seen the doll sold on Ebay for much less, even though she's getting harder to find. I think it depends on how much you want her and how hard it is for you to get her. Good luck whatever you decide.

Yeah, I came over her expecting to read more opinions and was surprised there wasn't any discussion yet. I think this is more of Disney getting out of their comfort zone, so I hope she does well even though I won't be getting her.

I have been considering it, but I am kind of the same mind set. I spent such a ridiculous amount of money on dolls last year, and I really don't want to do that again this year. Also, I simply don't have the space to continue growing my collection at this rate. Disney is releasing so many now, and it is overwhelming. I think the upcoming Minnie doll is very cute, but I have my D23 Expo Minnie, so I've been thinking that might be enough for me.
