DisneyStore Limited Edition 17" Dolls Discussion
Don't really care for the Le Minnie doll either. Her color scheme is too dark, and she needs more contrast on her clothes. The only doll I'm waiting for is an Le Snow White. I already have all my money saved for her, now I just need to wait if they release her.

I completely agree with Disney releasing too many. I think they're going to burn people out, and from what I personally saw last year, they didn't keep up with quality control. The D23 Minnie was adorable and certainly seems to have something the upcoming one is lacking.

I can't wait for SW either and have started saving for her and hopefully an Evil Queen. I haven't seen anything on a Tinkerbell dvd, but I'm wondering if another fairy can be expected this year. Fawn took a while to sell out last year, but I thought was a really well done doll and relatively affordable in comparison to the others. I'd probably buy it if they made one, so it kind of makes me hope there isn't since I think there will be a few Designer Fairytale dolls I'll want later in the year.

Ill be getting her but mostly our of boredom and being completest. ive made it a rule to jus buy every things as not to miss out a pay x3 on ebay. im really disillusioned after the whole pinocchio fiasco. ive had him come to me broken twice. disney needs some serious quality control and proper shipping ,methods implicated.

Personally, I do not like her 'hair', it's a bit strange to me...I love her rooted eyelashes, but the hair/ears has got to go. I'm sure there are plenty of collectors out there who probably love her hair, but I would have preferred Disney to use a nice felt-like material, something soft and matte looking.

Also, I cannot wait to see a possible new 17" Snow, a lovely Mia version of Alice and of course Emma's Belle!!!

I think it's weird that Minnie's hair is her ears. I think they could've given her regular plastic ears, and some sort of cute 50's-ish hairstyle; cute, curly, and short. Although I'm sure there's something inside her "hair ears" to give it that shape. Another thing they could've done is given her some lipstick, or at least outline her mouth in red to give it more contrast. Overall, it's cute, but not cute enough.

I agree, cute for sure, but not cute enough.

Hi! I don't know if you remember me but I was one of the few that started this collection with the Frozen Fever Dolls! Now it's a little bit bigger I'm so happy!

I currently have:

Frozen Fever Anna, Frozen Fever Elsa, Blue Aurora, Prince Phillip, Aladdin, Jafar, Jasmine, Ariel, Tiana, Live Action Cinderella and Sgt. Calhoun. I know it's still small but I'm in love with them =) now I'm trying to get Rapunzel and Merida! Can't wait
Btw yes, it's a bit disappointing to get this new Minnie, but she's cute so I'm okay with it! And plus it's a good sign that Disney will maybe think to make some new characters as LE dolls! My fear is that Minnie will probably not sell so good and Disney will drop the idea of making some other characters! (this time we need the help of the scalpers xD)

Minnie is alright, but there could be so many improvements, such as making her dress red with black spots, red shoes with black bows, fabric gloves(her hands look big enough for them), lipstick(her mouth feels like it's missing something), and lastly, she could use actual ears with a nice short hairstyle.

Yes! That would have been so beautiful! I feel like she's a "doll test" to see if people would buy her! She's too forgettable! They could have done so much better with her character! It's a shame.

You know what? It would be so scary if someone will try to let down her "ears hair" hahaha, I'm curious too see how weird she'd look xD

It is a shame, but I kind of doubt the final doll will change much, if at all. Either way she'll sell, but I don't see her going for any high prices in the future. I'm still bummed that there hasn't been any special merch for Snow White.

Exactly! I'm still hoping to see something announced about Snow White! It doesn't make sense to announce these Signature Edition (Belle and Alice too) without some dolls, I really hope that their plan is to make a prince (even though i doubt they'll do it for every release) and a villain for the early LE that didn't get any!

All I want is Disney store to release a new Snow White doll. That's all I'm asking lol. She's my favorite princess/movie, and she's the only doll that I'm interested in. If they do release her, then I'm pretty much done with collecting dolls since it's getting increasingly hard to have orchids, 2 other plants, and 3 dolls; so my space is already limited Lol!

A "doll test" would suck. :/ I kind of feel like they did something like this with the film Tomorrowland, and the box office didn't reach their expectations.

So according to the Disney LE doll Facebook page, rumor has it that we will get dolls of Alice and the Red Queen for the release of the Through the Looking Glass as well as a platinum set of Alice and the Mad Hatter being released sometime this year as well. I fully expect an Alice doll to be released, but I wasn't expecting anything else. Thoughts?

Well, it isn't that surprising that Disney would want to make this many dolls for Alice. Anything to make more money I guess. I wonder if the dolls will have the usual "grumpy face" problem. Anyways, I don't plan on getting them.

I'm starting to think that we might not get any dolls for Snow White. I really hope we get some kind of suprise release (the Evil Queen NEEDS to have a doll), but I can't help but feel like Disney is going to skip out on them all together and focus on other dolls they have planned for later in the year. Not to mention that this Blu-ray release seems like a really quick and last minute decision considering that wave of Pinocchio merch that we got. Am I the only one who feels this way?

On a happier note, the Minnie doll really makes me excited to see what Disney has planned this year. Maybe we will get some really nice surprises in terms of dolls!

Who knows if we will get any dolls for Snow White. I was really hoping for one, but I doubt it'll happen. And I just realized that the Minnie doll looks exactly like Micky if you cover her eyeshadow and eyelashes. Kind of wish they added her bow on her head, given her blush, and at least outline her mouth.

I think her looking similar to Mickey is kind of unavoidable lol. They have the exact same design with Minnie's only real differences being her eye lashes, bow, and dress. I was kind of expecting someone to buy two of the Minnie dolls and customize one of them to look like Mickey because of that exact reason. Really though, the lack of conversation about her is kind of depressing. She is the first doll of the year AND she isn't a princess. Its understandable why though. She isn't insanely impressive nor a major departure from the D23 doll (at least in terms of the mold), and 2015 was such an insane year for collectors that a lot of people need to take a breather and save money for what I am sure will be much more popular dolls later this year.

I am honestly considering buying her though. I don't expect her to sell out, so maybe I will see some more pictures of her before I decide.

She alright, but they could've added more makeup to her face to make her more distinguishable from Mickey. Not too crazy on her ear hairs either, looks pretty, but if you take down her hair, she probably won't have ears.

Oh I totally agree agree. She definitely could have used more makeup or something to make her stand out, and her ears being made out of hair seems like a really odd design choice. She really could have been a much better doll, and her release feels so random. All that said, I still think she is a really cute doll and I figured there would be at least a little more excitement for her. I dunno if I like her enough to buy her myself, but we'll see.

Don't really care for her either. I need to prioritize....and even if I did want her, then I wouldn't have any money left over for Snow White, if they release her. I just feel that Minnie has so many bugs that need to be fixed in order for her to be an amazing doll.

Same for me too. I just have this gut feeling that I am going to want several dolls this year and I need to set some money aside just in case.

All I wanted was Snow White, then I'm done collecting basically. Technically, I don't even have room for one more doll, but this is an exception. There's no other dolls that interest me right now, even ones in the future.
