No. I too am fairly convinced that the Diamond Edition of Pinocchio was the planned Feb release and for whatever reason Disney decided to rush out Snow White instead in this new Walt Disney Signature Collection and possibly cancel the Diamond Release of Pinocchio. That annoys me because that's one of the last movies I need to upgrade on Bluray and now I'll have to wait until it gets a Signature Collection Bluray instead, IF it even does. But the abundance of Pinocchio merch and complete lack of Snow White merch (other than the Snow White stuff that's always carried by DS for her as part of the Princess franchise) tells me that was the original plan, then who knows what happened. It's happened before as well, about three or four years ago, when Aladdin was originally planned as the Spring either 2012 or 2013 Diamond release we got a bunch of Jasmine merchandise out of nowhere (more than her regular princess merch I mean) with no explanation other than they manufactured that stuff in plans for the Bluray but when the disc was postponed they didn't want to wait a few more years on all that already made stuff so they just sold it then, and then they gave us the Art of Jasmine collection plus actual Aladdin merch with ALADDIN tags on it for the film's release last fall.
Re-releasing Snow White now is very, very strange what with Princess films tending to get the larger holiday release with more merchandise than the spring releases tend to get, and now this film doesn't have any merch released at all with it, unless there will be a surprise doll (hoping for Evil Queen, hoping they skip Snow's prince - he's so bland) or dolls. It's possible they didn't want to release Snow or any princess film on Bluray in the fall to compete with all the Moana merch they will be pushing then but that didn't stop them in 2013 with The Little Mermaid then Frozen.
As for the Minnie doll I actually LOVE her and will definitely try for her. I hope my store even gets some, LE 3,000 isn't very much and apparently nearly 1,000 are going to Europe so we'll see. Her price is fantastic too, especially for Canadians as with the dollar exchange we should technically be paying about $115.00 (and that's without adding on all the import taxes and tariffs they slap on products sold in this country) so $87.95 is a freaking steal!
