I have seen some people say that it will be the Christmas dress from The Enchanted Christmas and others say that it will be a variation of her winter outfit from the original film. Going by the details that have been given so far, it sounds like a combination of the two. Those pictures and people's reactions to them sure are going to be interesting.

A 17" version of the $49.95 12" deluxe Belle from 2010 would be lovely.

I'm on the "Green Soup's-On Dress" cruise as well but it's such an unlikely choice.

A movie accurate version of her ballgown would be the ultimate cop-out.
 

I think what makes it clear that it's the "something there" outfit is that that tumblr page said that she had a cape and a bird. Which screams Something there.

i would have preferred an accurate yellow dress, but it looks like we aren't going to get that. I guess that we can also speculate that future releases of princess dolls will be in different outfits.
 
While I'm not a fan of "Enchanted Christmas", I do like that dress. And if it is a combo of that dress and the Something There dress. It would be a win win. Though it would have been nice to see the green dress. Mostly because I associate it with Belle in Beast's library. Since reading and loving books, is part of who she is. Would have been nice to have her in that dress, holding a book.

Pre order month is late July to early August? I remember Jasmine's pre order around the first week of August last year.
And price, at least in dollars? Am not a fan of the $129 for the LE Alice dolls. It's part of the reason I passed on Alice.
 
You know, the idea of Belle in her winter ensemble shouldn't be too much of a snusnu because I'm just remembering she had a 12" singing doll that came with that outfit LOL.

Is that dress being brought out as often as it is Disney's way of saying it's second fiddle to the Gold Dress? Questions and Queries we must speculate on because Disney isn't going to tell us much.

Well i'm glad that's been cleared up. The outfit will probably have some gold rose embroidery that is reminiscent of the Christmas dress, so maybe that's where all the confusion came from?
 
In the BatB Deluxe Doll Set you can see Beast holding a red bird, and he's wearing a matching outfit to Belle from the scene, so I wonder if his 17" version will be in a similar outfit. Which means no 17" blue dress Belle unless that's in the Platinum set, which I doubt. It would look cool if it was angry Beast in a long tattered cape and Belle when she first gets to the castle. Rumor looks like it's a wedding set. I wonder if the "Something There" dress was fancied up so they could duplicate it in a white color for the Platinum Set, like with Jasmine.
 

I am assuming that the Beast is going to be in his "Something There" outfit as well. The tattered cloak and pants are more iconic, but they would have to redesign the overall look to make it work in 17" LE form similar to how they fancied up Aladdin's street rat outfit. Plus he will match better with Belle if the rumors about the red dress turn out to be true. You also make a very interesting point on the platinum set. I'm hoping they don't go that route just so they can reuse the same pattern. I would much rather them go with a brand new design if they are so insistent on making more platinum dolls.

Just because it looks very similar to the christmas outfit and the christmas outfit supposedly looks a lot like the Winter outfit that she wears in the LE doll.
Why do I think it's similar to this one? the Jasmine platinum LE doll has a similar outfit to her regular LE doll.
 
I would love if the outfits in the last picture would be for the platinum set-especially if Belle was actually holding a book in her hand!

It does seem a bit "easy" of Disney to re-create the gold dress in almost every way save the color (at least in these photos the design looks almost identical), but if this is in fact what Disney's planning for a platinum set, it's going to sell out regardless. I know I would certainly try for it!
 


Yeah. At least the positive thing about the platinum set is that they will have more room to display her dress. It doesn't have to be squished behind her.
 
Hmmm it's a pet peeve of of mine that everyone assumes that princesses who didn't get an on-screen wedding just dumped their formal 'princess' dress in a tub of bleach and called it a day. You see it a lot with poor Aurora too. Unfortunately, Disney have been all too happy to follow suit before (like the story book seen above) so if the wedding platinum set is true, my money is 100% on ballgown-colour-variant. Which leaves the question: would she be marrying the Prince or the Beast?? Timeline-wise it makes no sense for him to be in beast form, but Disney has made wedding merchandise with him before (presumably because he's more 'iconic' that way) sooooo.....?
 

Most likely it will be Prince Adam with Belle. Only reason I say this is because Belle, Beast, and Gaston are all being released separately. I agree with you that the wedding dresses are uncreative too. It's sad.
 
Yeah..... That belle doll is gorgeous. But I still don't like that they keep giving belle long hair. It's still infinitely better than the other Belle doll!

I looked at the doll a bit closer and I gotta say..... It lost a little bit of magic haha.

I think the rose pattern caught me off guard and it really elevated the doll, however, this truly feels like a design more suited for a designer doll than a 17" one. It's basically a mix of the DFDC Ariel and Rapunzel. I wish they would have done something more on the top.

I do like the hairstyle on the front. They did an amazing job on that!

They even gave her the loose strand of hair!

I think she's quite lovely. Her face mold and hair are amazing, the rose design on her dress is beautiful, and I like the bird. I hope there is some sort of embellishment or embroidery on the back of her cape. The biggest flaw to me is that the middle part of her skirt looks plain and needs "Something There"
