DisneyStore Limited Edition 17" Dolls Discussion
I hate when they don't show photos of the shoes in a Cinderella doll.

In my opinion I think the original Le Cinderella had more detail than this. I'm sort of interested in the blue cindrella, I think she looks better than the film collection version. But I really don't like the wedding dress. I heard that the original wedding dress had hand painted flowers so maybe that's why the dress isn't embroidered. I think eventually I'll get cinderella in the summer, it depends on the price afterwards. The only thing I don't like is that she looks like she was sweating. Maybe running and losing a glass slipper is harder and sweatier than it seems

i need to see more photos and the box to make my decision. i mean i love what i have seen so far from the movie and the reviews that people wrote after seeing screenings of it and it would be nice to splurge on such a wonderful end of semester gift but urgh, so disappointed.

i don't think the wedding doll is worth it at all. there are some comparison photos on tumblr that look at the disney store wedding and the limited edition wedding ella and i don't see enough differences or addition of details.

I think both of the dresses should have had more layers on them for a gauzier, "dreamier" look. The blue gown especially. I was so worried about choosing between Cindy and Elsa, and I'm really not in love with either of them.

As for the shiny skin on Cindy- maybe they were going for a porcelain look? Either that or they were just trying to add some sort of interesting detail, in which case I think they should have done a much better job on her dress.

Found this pics! $500 if her & prince. I think $250 might be acceptable but after tax not before it.

I wish the skirt on the blue dress doll looked more like it does in the movie with the multiple layers and the top skirt more crinkly.

You know, it's a real shame. Both of these dolls, in my opinion, sport very beautiful dresses, whether they mimic the 12" line or not, but the $500 price tag on the LE Wedding Cinderella just is not worth it. I wish the collectors who will be trying for her the best of luck, but I will not be among them. And with any luck, the dolls won't arrive with too many damages. If not, I'd advise looking into taking legal action in a small claims court and let Disney sweat it out, lol.

As for me, I will be trying for Elsa next week and will be trying for LE Cinderella in her more - traditional, I guess? - ball gown. I'm not too concerned about the shine on the skin, though, as the lighting used for the stock photos always make that look bad and it never appears that way in person.

Well now im going to have the image of Cinderella sweating like crazy running out of the palace now whenever I look at her doll XD. I think the shiny look she has to her works because there is a scene of the Fairy Godmother throwing sparkles on her and she has a very sparkly look all over her neck, face and hair in the film.

Wow now seeing the stills from the movies these LE dolls doesn't do the dresses any justice! The dresses in the movies are absolutely stunning!!

The colors are not even the right shade!! The flowers on the wedding dress should be yellow, blue and purple but they've got yellow, blue, and pink/red?? And I honestly didn't even notice that the wedding dress was suppose to be pseudo-one-shouldered from the dolls until I looked at the actual dress from the movie!! And the classic doll didn't get the right shade of blue and though the LE version got closer to it but they butchered the shape of the ball gown!! For the price increase I expected better accuracy and quality.

If I were to buy the new LE Anna doll do you think I would be able to trade her for a 17" Ariel doll? I'M IN DESPERATE NEED FOR A 17" ARIEL DOLL! lol

Unless you could find someone local, I highly doubt that you could trade with someone for any LE doll. Shipping alone for one is $22 and while Anna is Beautiful, she's also less detailed than the Ariel Heirloom. You might be able to trade to the right person, but I would be afraid of getting scammed.

Personally, I wouldn't buy just to trade. Anyone who has the older dolls and is still collecting will more than likely be getting any new releases on their own if they want them. You might get the rare case where someone missed out on getting a doll somehow but I wouldn't bet on that.

Speaking of trading...

If anyone will be at the Orlando release Tuesday, I have some extra 17" dolls and Designers, and there are a few I missed, so if you're interested in trading, contact me. If my PM fills up, e-mail me at utena28 @ hotmail.com

I honestly find the original Cinderella Le more detailed than the live action le doll
Really? I'm surprised as the original LE Cinderella is the least detailed heirloom doll released so far imo, just covered in rhinestones and overall has a cheap look, not forgetting the yellow hair/pastel makeup.
I kinda hope/wish the new Cinderella is holding a glass slipper, it's a shame to put beautiful shoes on her and then cover it with her gown.

I agree that the LE Cinderella is not the best in the line by a long shot and they certainly could have done a better job with her especially with her hair and makeup, but I just got the doll yesterday and I have to say I am way more pleased with her than I thought I'd be. I was hoping this new LE doll would surpass the 2012 doll, but I kind of agree with Disneylover in that the older LE doll has more details than this new one, at least at first glance. I'd be interested in seeing the new one in person and what she will look like in her box. She looks so much like the 12" I am having a difficult time imagining what she will like look at 17".

The shoes on this doll will be movie accurate. They'll look similar to the way the movie ones do but with a warm yellow tone.

Yeah, LE Cinderella is my least faves of the ones I own (just got her a couple months ago), but I appreciate her a lot more after seeing these. Her face is softer, sweeter, not so pissy and stuck up. Im really trying to like the new LE (ball gown version) because I'm so excited for this movie, but it's not happening yet.

I'll stop by my store on the 13th and decide then. I'm sure these won't be an instant sell out . And if they are, oh well.

I was hoping the LE Cinderella doll would be like LE Alice. A mix of the animated and live action character. The dolls are ok but $500 is crazy. I could see if they bumped it up to $200 or $220 but how many people can simply spend that kind of money. Especially if somebody wanted to get all 5 dolls. Disney really doesn't space their doll releases too well. 5 dolls in a week and one being $500.

The wedding doll is pretty but definitely does not look worth all that money. Especially after seeing the pictures of the real dress the doll version doesn't do it justice imo. It's sad to see everyone being upset. This is something that should be fun and bring people joy. But these dolls are all kind of lackluster imo and I am pretty sad. I as really looking forward to the Cindy dolls. Oh well. Hopefully the Aladdin dolls turn out well.

I know that the original Le Cinderella isn't the most detailed doll but I do find it very pretty and its on my want list. I think the lady tremaine doll is the least detailed doll ever imo. Between the two I would go with the original Le Cinderella because she is decked out in shiny rhinestones everywhere and I love the hairstyle, it reminds me of sweet bread rolls for some reason:lol:. I just think disney could have done better on live action doll, it had so much potential but it's a bit bland. And the oily skin isn't helping either. I would still get the live action doll anyway if I like the movie because I like the live action Le doll slightly more than the film collection version.

It's actually 5 dolls in a 11 day time span, but your point still completely holds true. My work schedules payday every 2 weeks, so I could never afford all five dolls based on a single paycheck - especially since, for the first time since I started collection, the first LE release date for March falls the week after payday, not the same week. Luckily for me, I just want 2 out of the five.

I realized that maybe the live action Cinderella doll might be a prototype like the Le maleficent was, it's possible that the doll might look different.... Hopefully :hs:

If you wanted to get all of the dolls released this spring, starting with Fawn and including these Cinderella dolls, you'd have to have to spend $1049.75 USD over just a few weeks. And to make it worse, this is all coming out after the release of the Cinderella movie merchandise, which I know I lot of doll collectors, like myself, ended up buying.

I had figured into my budget a Cinderella doll priced at about $120 or so, not $500 and not $620 for two Cinderella dolls on top of Frozen. I am still not sold on $500 for one doll, but if I had wanted her, I wouldn't have even known to save up for her. Disney completely changed the rules on us without any warning. I sincerely hope they don't spring LE Frozen Fever dolls on us anytime soon.
