Forgot to note, I signed up this morning and it looks like I still qualify (well, my sponsor) for the Early Birdies pin!
 
Mainly, it's for people who aren't in SoCal or visiting SoCal and want the pins. Someone already asked to sponsor me (to get them pins from the event), so I thought if anyone else needs the pins and is willing to sponsor my sister, we'd go together.
