DLR Pin trading night

Guests of all ages are invited to make friends, trade pins and share Disney magic at Disney Trading Nights at Disneyland® Resort.
Mark your calendars for future trading nights:

  • February 17 - 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm at Pacific Ballroom at Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel
 
I am new to this, but what actually happens at these events? Is it essentially just mingling with others and pin trading? I would like to attend one if so! Is it free also? Thank you!
 
Hi Johnny58, to answer your question, the Pin Trading Nights aren't really an "event"; Disney lets us pin traders use one of the conference/ballroom (usually at the Paradise Pier Hotel, ground floor) for pin trading (no charge). Cast members wearing lanyards are there to trade with, and they'll have a few preview boards showing pins that Disney plans to release within the next couple of months (we drool in anticipation, lol). I can't remember if they do trade boards anymore (I hate standing in line so I never pay attention to that possible aspect of PTN). They used to have a part of the room sectioned off for kids only, but I think they did away with that, unfortunately.

It's a fun night, bring your pins and either "work the room" or plunk yourself down at one of the tables.
 
My sister says "oops" to Friday the 20th. She apparently didn't look at a calendar before responding!
 
Thank you so much for the information Trade Winds Pins!!! I really would like to go this now!!! Sounds like Ill be able to meet a lot of interesting people, and hopefully find some good TRON and Stitch pins as well!!! Thank you so much!!! :angel:
 
So, how did this event go? Did someone take pictures? Were there lots of pin traders? If you were there and traded, what did you get? And, if there is already a thread with this information, please post the link.
