Now how cool would it be to hold a silent auction for a pin at tonight's PTN at DLR? Just have the pin on display, some scratch paper for people write down bids and a drop box to place those bids into. After a certain time, a winner out of all the bids would be selected and TADA... silent pin auction completed.

If only I were able to get there early enough to get a table, but most likely I'll be a vagabond for the PTN.

Well I guess it wasn't clear but of course I meant that pins would be the bids. Anyway I'm fairly new to trading and don't really know the ways of Disney regarding this hobby but it was just a thought.

I remember one time I got in trouble at DLR for mentioning the word SELL at the tables at WWH even though I was just asking someone if they knew what LE pins they had for sale at the store.

i really dont like the idea pin trading should be fun for famliy and the auction is a bad idea for kids to get into if they do the silent auction people should pay extra to do it

Relax buddy. It was just an idea. I had already mentioned that I won't be doing it, but just wanted to see if maybe that option would create welcoming or discouraging responses. And I for one think new ways of trading is fun. Goofy_Moe's auction trading has hit mountain peaks cause it was new and it was fun. Do you really want to be continuously trying to trade with a rock that won't budge and consider that fun? You need to get out of your shop of horrors and not take pin trading so seriously.
