Do you guys get ride of them or keep them in circulation?

I recently went through my binders and cleared out the pins that I no longer want. I have a small pile of counterfeits that I have no idea what to do with.

I don't want to put them back into circulation (even giving them to someone to make something with, as I can't really guarantee that they won't eventuall make their way back to being traded, unless I break off the pin post myself beforehand), but I don't want to just chuck them into the garbage. So they'll remain as a small pile for now.

I bend the pin over and toss them in the garbage. I know it isn't much, but I feel like I am helping the hobby by doing it.

when I've gotten them i throw them away this way they don't circulate out there,,,and when i have a pin thats a question ill save it and ask a few people before determining if it is one or not.....

If the pin fits my collection and I like it. I'll put in that theme. (I will never trade any of my collection) If they don't fit my collection I put them in a shoe box and save them for some type of arts and craft project like an x-mas ornament or whatever. I never re-trade any scrappers. I always find a use for them.

I will keep them in my collection, and I won't trade them. I have a few that I'm not to sure about, wether they are pins that have been "used hard", or are scrappers. I do have a set of scrapper "Orange Birds" and the corresponding official release pins. The scrapper birds are brown.

I have them all on their own little piece of foam sheet. The only thing I keep them for is for reference against the real thing when people ask about those pins on the forums.

If not too large, they make awesome barrettes. Snap off the pin post, make sure back is roughed up and glue to plain hair clips. If it's a bad scrapper with dull finish, a coat of clear nail polish will pretty it up a bit.

I have one Snow White scrapper in my collection. I didn't look at the scrapper warning online and bought the pin anyways. It was only $10, so it wasn't a huge loss but it stays with my other Snow White collectibles resting on a journal and not on my pin board. For a fake pin, its actually rather nice.

Cool glad their are still some in it for the hobby. I made a binder and put all the ones im skeptical/obvious fakes/and fakes in like on separate pages.

I stick them on a junky cork board for future reference and a reminder of what to look out for. I only have a couple though. And I bought one of them on purpose for the sole reason of having a reference to begin with, haha.

Will probably bend the posts and toss them eventually though.

I only keep legit pins (or what I believe to be) in my pin bag. If I am unsure of a pin, it stays kind of by itself wrapped in bubbles until I determine it's authenticity later.

EDIT: And no, I would never knowingly trade or sell a bad pin.
