Do you have someone's grail for trade?

Have you ever seen an odd pin you had for trade in someone's signature as their grail?

When I first started collecting (years ago) I bought a collection from someone who was no longer collecting pins. I didn't know what most of them were or their value, but my kids kept some, I kept some and the rest ended up as traders.

So, one day on Dizpins I saw this pin http://www.pinpics.com/cgi-bin/pin.cgi?pin=18702&sid=8087.1348201376.v2 in someone's signature. I contacted him, and he told me that he had been searching for this pin for several years. I paid 1.75 for it and it made him so happy to get it. I don't even remember what I got in return, but it didn't really matter to me because the pin didn't mean to me what it meant to him.

It's one of my favorite memories from my beginning trade days! We kept in touch for a while, but with the demise of Dizpins, I'm not sure where he landed!

So, anyone else have similar stories?

I see some of the bizzarrest, easiest to find pins listed as holy grails on siggys here on dpf.

More often than not, I see one, and actually go hunting for it just because I know it will be nice to trade it to them. I think right now, in my trades are 3 different "holy grails" for other people here on DPF. one never returns my PM's offering it. Sad pixie.

Pin 3255: WDW - Pop Century Resort (Logo)

On a lanyard and it was on (i think) jjgasmans signature so I pmed him and we worked out a trade for it. To me it was just a resort pin but he was soo happy to finally be getting it. It was really fun to be able to give someone their signature pin. :0)

I currently have a few people's grail pins - not sure how many.
