Does anyone own Pin #2455 ?

Hi!

Does anyone own this pin --> Pin 2455: Aladdin and Jasmine on Magic Carpet

I have been after it for quite some time and have made 3 trades for it in the past, but on all 3 occasions have been sent this pin which is completely different Pin 33315: UK Disney Store - Aladdin & Jasmine on the Magic Carpet.

Does anyone own the USA version/non UK version of pin 2455 and if they do, would you be able to show me a photograph of it so I can see what the difference is, please?

I don't know about the UK one, and I don't have this one. But I do have a couple of the other old Disney Store pin sets that came in the tins/boxes and there is usually a difference in the pin making process of those than of later pins. The old pins are a bit thinner, shiny gold backs, and thin, yellow gold lines and whatever they use on the front makes them very shiny. I looked at the back of my Dumbo pins and they are made in Taiwan, not China. So if you could get confirmation that the Aladdin set was also made in Taiwan that would be probably the key distinguishing factor.

So I've always assumed that I had 2455 but now you've got me doubting myself! Having dug the correct pin book out, here (hopefully) are pictures of the pin I have! http://www.photobox.co.uk/album/1692207677
I don't know how much help they'll be in your hunt but I know that I've had the pin pictured in my collection for a long time, I think I got it pretty early in my collecting days which would have put it arriving with me at around 2004/5ish

Thank you, I might contact a trader and ask. I have asked for photos before from one if the traders who agreed to trade but he never bothers to reply! Thanks for the info, I do have other older Aladdin pins with a Taiwan backstamp.

Hi berry good, thank you for sharing the photos. Yes you're pin is the UK Version that I have been talking about and the pin that I have been sent three times. Your pin is 33315 which was released in 2004 over here in the UK so that would be about right when you said you acquired it.

Hi scrumpman, do you mean you do not think that they are the same as the pin pictured above 2455?

Thats okay! I am a Jasmine pin completer so I need to know everything about these pins lol. Thank you, I hope someone can help me find it too!
