Ok, I got a rather cheap pin off the bay a while back. I just liked the pin, it's #59474 , so I wasn't too concerned with things when I won it. But I've never seen one of these in person before and I'm not sure if things are right with it so I was wondering if anyone here has this pin to compare it with.

For starters, it came in a little plastic baggie. From what I've read on pinpics, this pin came with a framed cel from the movie so having the pin in a baggie as an additional perk kinda makes sense to me, though I'm not sure if this was in fact the case. Does anyone else's come in a little baggie? Also, the outer outlines, going around the outside of the pin between the front and back, aren't real smooth but I've seen way worse on pins I've gotten from the park, too so who knows what's up with that.

I'd love to know how other's pins compare and whether there's something fishy about this one. So if you've got it, please let me know! Thanks all!

A lot of these cel pins have scrapper warnings. Whether this one should, I don't know.

These cels are sold in Florida in different formats from what I understand: some are framed with pin and postcard, some are framed with just pin, and I think some are sold just as the framed cel without the pin, but extras of the pin *might* be available separately as there seem to be multiple reports of these cel pins showing up at the outlet stores or other locations.

Personally, I don't trust any of the cel pins unless they come IN the frame, but that's because I'm not in Florida and don't have a better sense of how these are actually released. A Florida local with more familiarity with these releases could probably help out better.

That was very helpful! I haven't seen any of these pins in person before, and don't have any other cel pins to compare it with, so I have no idea how many incarnations are out there and how many are legit vs. not. Hopefully I'll get some more info regarding this one though as the day goes on. Thanks very much!

Some typical scrap/counterfiet telltales are:

paint dips
rough metal edges
sloppy backstamp
sloppy lines for the front design

not saying these thing MUST indicate a scrapper, I have seen pins in disney shops with one or more of these things. But take the pin out of the bag and look her over.

Regardless of counterfiet or scrap, if a pin looks great, enjoy it.

I saw scrapper warnings for this pin a few years back - I love this pin and would have collected it myself - but avoided it because of the warnings and because at one time there were just too many of them on Ebay.

But having said that, I agree with Psycho Pixie, if a pin looks great, enjoy it.

Thanks all! Yeah, I do love it and it was pretty cheap so I'll like it either way. I was just curious about it. There are no dips, the icon on the back looks fine and the outlines in the front look good, too. But the baggie and the slightly rough edges did throw me for a loop so I thought I'd ask. I still think it's pretty cute though :)
